2014 West Virginia Mountaineers

Despite being located in one of the whitest states in the country, the Mountaineers have been been embedded in the caste system for a very long time, contentiously ignoring all in-state talent to instead pluck recruits from Florida and other southern states. As a result, since 2005, WVU has started 11, 9, 10, 9, 7, 7, 4, and 9 whites. This year look for just 6 starters. With their recent recruiting classes, don't look for this team to get whiter any time soon.

Defense -
NT - Kyle Rose
OLB - Nick Kwiatkoski

Back ups on the two deep include QB Logan Moore, HB (B) Elijah Wellman, LG Stone Underwood C Tony Matteo, and RT Michael Calicchio. There are no white defensive back ups.

Trickett had a big road game today against Texas Tech (300+ yards & 2 TDs)..
Mountaineers' kicker Josh Lambert gets the game winner, with a career long 55 yarder..

Some suspect tackling from West Virginia's D, but these dudes seem okay trying to outscore everybody, averaging close to 37 points a game.. It was a fun 4th quarter to watch.

West Va. gets a road win vs. Iowa State. Mountaineers' back-up (Howard) played well: 285 yards, with 3 TDs & zero picks.
West Va's kicker Josh Lambert continues to be one of the best in the game (as of this afternoon he's 2nd in number of successful FGs). His 13 points were the difference in the 37-24 win.. Lambert is 4 for 5 on the season in beyond 50-yard kicks. Looks to have NFL credentials (?)
