2014 Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Rutgers has started 6, 5, 8, 9, 11, 8, 4, 5, and 4 whites since 2005. QBs Mike Bimonte and Chris Laviano are fighting Gary Nova for the starting QB spot. On defense, Rutgers will feature three white starters including a true sophomore at Cornerback in Anthony Cioffi. Cioffi is backed up by another white CB, walk on sophomore Brian Verbitski. Rutgers will bump up four more white starters this year, coming out to 8 starters.

FB - Michael Burton
TE - Tyler Kroft
C - Betim Bujari
RG - Chris Muller or JJ Denman

Defense -
DE - David Milewski
LB - Kevin Snyder
CB - Anthony Cioffi

Back ups on the two deep include FB Sam Bergen, TE Nick Arcidacono, RT Brian Leoni, and CB Brian Vebtiski.

Funny Newark story. I once accidentally went one stop too far on the Newark subway and when I emerged from the station, it was like the Congo. Not another white face in sight - and a whole lot of dark faces staring at me. :icon_eek: Scary.

You're right about Newark being an African dump but wrong about Rutgers playing there. Rutgers does have a campus in Newark but the main campus is in New Brunswick. About 30 minutes southwest on the New Jersey turnpike and a good deal safer than Newark.

So it looks like they'll have 7 white starters. That may not be 11, but it's still a decent jump up from 4. Good to see their headed in the right direction!
