2014 NFL Draft

A few years ago there was a reputed very smart black cornerback who was the subject of one flattering media puff piece after another. He ran a slow time at the Combine but that didn't faze the corporate PR machine; he was basically the face of the draft that year before fizzling quickly out of the NFL. Can't recall his name, maybe someone else can.
I think you're talking about Myron Role from Florida State. He was a Rhodes scholar, no doubt his race played a large role in that. He ran a 4.6 40. He also scored a 33 on the Wonderlic, which is pretty impressive for a black but not that great for a white guy. His career in the NFL only lasted one year. Now he's in medical school at FSU. I wonder what he scored on the MCAT ? I'm guessing in the 20's. For those not familiar with MCAT scoring that probably wouldn't get you into med school if you're non-black.

Yep, that must be the one. Unbelievable amounts of hype for a marginal player, solely because he was intelligent.

I don't even think Rolle ran even that fast. He ran about a 4.8 or something ridiculously slow for a top prospect. I recall him being cut by the Titans and being stashed on their practice squad. For once intelligence stereotypes worked against a Black prospect as scouts weren't in love with cerebral manners on the field as he was viewed as too intelligent for football.

I just heard that Manziel got the highest Wonderlic score out of all the qb's at the combine. My first reaction was to be surprised because of Manziel being a wigger but then I thought about how amazing he was on the football field and it's not that surprising he'd score very high.

According to sources, everybody's favorite QB in this year's draft, Teddy Bridgewater, scored a 20. In the black community, that is near genius.:afro:

Comparing it to an IQ test, that would probably put him in the top 10-15% for his race, and right at average for a white person. It really is striking.

Is Tyler Gaffney really white? From photos I've seen he looks mulatto.

I don't consider him white, but he does have a white father. His mother is not white. Just like I don't consider mulattos white if they have a black father and white mother. I consider him mixed.

From years of observation, this seems to be the order of how good one's character is, from best to worst (Of course there will be exceptions, but the general rule stands):
Full-blooded whites
Mulattoes with white fathers/black mothers
Full-blooded blacks
Mulattoes with black fathers/white mothers

His mother looks to have mexican or samoan heritage from what I remember seeing, I consider him White, just like people consider guys like Greg Salas White. If he were mullato, as in part black, he would be a top pick and rated much higher. He has the measurables, and the production to back it up, but is virtually ignored. his brother looks more mexican

That is about the lowest a QB can score and be considered intelligent enough to play the position. So far he has been mediocre athletically, can't throw a basic out pattern and is probably below average intelligence for a qb. I guess that ads up to an Oakland Raider first round pick.....:icon_mrgreen:

He also tans very dark. His natural skin colour is a Olive complexion similar to various Southern European people. If he is an ethnic Mexican it will come out due to marketing for the Hispanic community. Especially in cities where that ethnic group is a large percentage of the city. Look at Jeff Garcia and other players who are barely Hispanic.

The average white IQ in America is extremely high, around 106 in fact. Bridgewater's Wonderlic translates to 100 IQ. He's below the white average.

If you remove Hispanics and Blacks from the US average America has one of the highest IQs in the world.

The same can be said for crime, obesity, addiction, illegitimate babies, and unemployment.

He's definitely not all white, but he might as well be for Caste purposes. He is not said to possess upside or burst or a room-brightening smile. I cheer for him because he's a caste buster. I just want a fair and level playing field, so I'll cheer for anything that's not black in football (Polys are black for Caste purposes).

If he moved in down the street from me, I probably wouldn't freak out (unless he had trashy looking friends who do have upside). I wouldn't think "what the hell is that doing out here?" Close enough to cheer for, close enough for a neighbor, but not family.

In a way Jeff Garcia is the reverse of Tyler Gaffney. If you looked at a picture of Jeff Garcia, there no way anyone, would consider him Latin or hispanic. The only connection to being hispanic is his last name. Tyler Gaffney certainly looks latin or hispanic. Put doesn't have the last name.

We've been through the Tyler Gaffney thing more times than I can count. What it boils down to is what do the pundits, DWF's, and the rest consider him? In spite of his obvious mestizo heritage from mom, he's regarded as 100% cracka by them. So based on that, and his possible impact on the caste system, I consider him white. He's not mulatto, though. Dwid is right, if he were, he would be a 2nd or 3rd round pick, guaranteed.

Roger Staubach says he would select Manziel as the No. 1 pick even over that Clown guy.

I'd take Manziel over anyone in this years draft or last years draft. With him a fair comparison would be Russell Wilson. Wilson might have better straight line speed, but Manziel is more accurate. I actually have Bridgewater behind David Carr and Zach Mettenberger, after their pro-day performances.

I consider him White too. And if there were a Japanese running back or an Indian cornerback I'd be rooting for them to succeed too.

Obviously Manziel is the clear, and undeniable 1st overall pick. Of course I highly doubt that will happen, but there is no reason other than race. If he were black I guarantee that the media would be praising, and hyping him to high heaven. Just think of Newton, and Grimlen. Neither as good as Manziel, but both praised as possible 1st overall picks.

When you look at Manziel he reminds you of Tarkenton/Flutie combination. Often times the media will draw comparisons to Russell Wilson, but Wilson never played at the level Manziel did at T A&M. Unlike Wilson, Manziel weaknesses won't need to be masked as Manziel can operate in a pass heavy offense. Wilson had the luxury of ending up in a run heavy offense with a great a defense, which is the only way he could possibly succeed in the nfl. Because of his ethnicity dwfs think that makes him great, but if Wilson were white he'd be just a mediocre game manager. Teams that pass up on Manziel will regret it. His ceiling is way higher than the overrated qb in Seattle.

The mainstream sports media keeps claiming that there is no correlation between Wonderlic scores and success as an NFL quarterback. This is an outright lie.

Playoff quarterbacks almost invariably score above average on the Wonderlic. Few playoff quarterbacks score 20s on their Wonderlics the way Teddy Bridgewater did. Anyone can verify this for themselves. To play quarterback successfully you have to be able to process information at a certain level.

The mainstream sports media downplays the significance of the Wonderlic test because blacks do much worse than whites on it.

I think Johnny football will be fine provided he at least has a decent receiving corps and offensive line. My only hope is that he doesn't go to a team with a white quarterback. It would be awesome if he could replace a black quarterback but it's possible Jacksonville picks him up. I think Gabbert will go the way of Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn.

I can see Houston picking Manziel up but I think they will take Clowney.

I would jump with joy if the Texans did grab Johnny. Its just such a perfect fit, being that he IS a Texan. They have a couple decent QBs. I wouldnt mind seeing him go to Dallas either, although I KNOW that wont happen.

What do yall think would be "ideal" for Manziel? Whats the perfect situation for him to have success right away?
