The 2013 Georgia Bulldogs entered the season with a very prominent outlook, but a string of injuries and several unlucky game series resulted in the downfall of their season, finishing their year with a bowl game loss against Nebraska. Despite this, white talent emerged at several positions, most notably WR Michael Bennett and true frosh RB Brendan Douglas. Since 2005, UGA has started 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 2, 8, and 7 whites. There is a lot of movement going around the offensive line, with John Theus listed as a potential starter at both left and right tackle. Expect things to become more clear come the beginning of the season. Georgia should have 8 starters this season.
Offense -
QB - Huston Mason
FB - Merritt Hall
WR - Michael Bennet
LT - John Theus (in battle for position)
LG - Brandon Kublanow
C - David Andrews
RG - Greg Pyke
RT - Kolton Houston (in a battle for position w/ John Theus)
Defense - None
Back-ups on the two deep include QB Faton Bauta, T Watts Danzler, C Josh Cardiello, G Hunter Long, RB Brendan Douglas, FB Taylor Maxey, and TE Jared Chapple. Walk on and leading rusher in the spring game in 2013, Kyle Karempelis, is listed as the third string running back although two scholarship players are currently out with injures. WRs Clay Johnson and Michael Erdman could potentially see time and are fighting for back up positions at the WR positions. Ryne Rankin and Kosta Vavlas are the third team linebackers.
