A little bit of good news from the US Championships....Brandon Byram won his 200m today, just edging Wallace Spearmon Jr.
I didn't see the race, but it shows he will be a contender in the semis tomorrow. Good Luck!

Yes he went down hard reminiscent of Green and Johnson in the 2000 200 meter trials final. Here's a Youtube channel with various races of the meet. Note that these videos could be pulled soon so watch them before they are pulled!http://www.youtube.com/user/McKaylaPerfect10/videosBrandon pulled up and went down with an injury in his semi.
What a shame! Based on the heats, it looked like he would have made the finals.
I'm guessing his season is over now.
Here is a video of Boderenkos 2.41 meter high jump. This is one of the best jumps I've seen in a long time. Look at how high he clears the bar. He had a few close attempts at a new world record of 2.46 meters but it wasn't meant to be yet. Amazing jump!

That has to make him a medal contender for the final. By the way is the Japanese runner that caused the sensation early in the season at this meet?Sergey Smylek of the Ukraine ran another new p.b. of 10.25 to qualify for the finals of the World Youth Games. He did it with no wind so I have a strong feeling he will go faster tommorow in the finals.
