2013 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Here are the white starters for the Fighting Irish this fall. Having overrated (and Kirk Herbstreit’s lover) QB Everett Golson kicked off the team instantly makes this team more watchable. Since 2005, 10, 11, 11, 11, 10, 10, 11, and 11 white starters. Things fall off a little to 9 this year, but still a watchable top 20 team. Backups include: QB Andrew Hendrix, RB Cam McDaniel, TE Ben Koyack, LT Hunter Bivin, LG Mark Harrell, C Matt Hegarty, RG Conor Hanratty (Hanratty is the son of former Notre Dame and Steelers QB Terry Hanratty), RT Steve Elmer, ILB Jarrett Grace, and OLB Ben Councell. This seems like another darkening team, but still for right now, one to cheer for.

Comment from the article about featuring McDaniel at RB:

"Are you kidding me? At best he is fourth on the depth chart. Kelly needs to give Bryant and Carlisle bulk of the carries or we will have some RB's transferring soon. He may be tough but is a MAC RB at best. Play calling is the real issue. "

Wonder what he means by "MAC RB"? I see alot of the MAC, don't see many guys like him running the ball.
