Here are the few white Wolfpack starters whom I probably won’t be watching this year. NC State is back down to rock bottom, with just four fighting whiteys getting the start this year. I’m really finding these previews a bit faster to write this year; unfortunately, there just aren’t that many white players I need to worry about in 90% of these teams, and NC State is no exception. Since 2006, the Wolfpack have started 5, 7, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 5 whites. It gets so much worse for the Wolfpack, dropping down to just 4 starters, although I wouldn’t be surprised if the Black QB “wins” the starting job away from Thomas. He’s a “better athlete” so he’ll be given every chance to win the job away from that stiff hipped unathletic white guy currently occupying the top spot on the depth chart. The few white backups on NC State include: WR(X) Charlie Hegadus, LG Cole Blankenship, RG Cameron Fordham, RT, Andy Jomantas, MLB Zach Gentry, WLB Drew Davis, and SS Tim Buckley. As proof of how far the overrated Poly Pipeline has spread: the Wolfpack have a poly backup center. Another truly disgusting team.

Offense
QB- Pete Thomas – in a fight for the position
FB- Tyler Purvis
C- Joe Thuney
RG- Alex Barr

NC State pulled an Auburn this year; accepting two black QB transfers in Brissett from Florida and Mitchell from Arkansas, to go along with Manny Stocker another one on scholarship. Oh well, I'd rather have them all in one place instead of being handed jobs regardless of merit elsewhere. Anyway, here's there starter count for the opener against LA Tech.

Offense -
QB - Pete Thomas - in battle for position
FB - Tyler Purvis or Ryan Cheek
C - Quinton Schooley
RG - Joe Thuney

Defense -
MLB - Zach Gentry

Hey guys, I have some great news for NC State. On the topic of all this quotback hype, NC State has been one of the biggest pushers of this agenda this year, starting Arkansas transfer Brandon Mitchell and grabbing Florida Jacoby Brissett along the way to add to Manny Stocker.

The good news if Mitchell is out with a broken foot, meaning Colorado transfer Pete Thomas is the starter! Perhaps even better, vastly under recruited QB Bryant Shirrefs (NC State and UAB his only offers) is taking up the back up role as a freshman. This guy came out of no where to the NC State DWFs, even though he passed for 2400 yards his senior year in HS, while running for another 1400. So far in very limited actions he's completed all three of his passes and rushed 13 times for 70 yards. Here's to Bryant hopefully taking away the hype from 3 overrated players in the future.
