Here are your white starters for new coach Bret Bielema and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Only time will tell to see what Bielema will do at Arkansas, after having fielded some white friendly Badgers teams at Wisconsin. With more "speed" and "athleticism" in the South, I wouldn't expect Bielema to duplicate his Wisconsin numbers at all. The Razorbacks look to have an all-black defense this year, with SLB Austin Jones the only white player on the defensive two-deep. QBs Brandon Allen and his younger brother Austin make up the two deep at QB; I wonder how many brothers back each other up on an FBS college QB depth chart? I thought that was pretty cool. Arkansas has a very talented athlete in Mitchell Loewen at TE this year; he should be making some plays. Also, Drew Morgan should play a role at WR this year. Since 2006, 6, 7, 5, 7, 5, 5, and 6 white starters. Expect the six to stay this year. Some white backups to look for are: QBs AJ Derby and Austin Allen, WR Drew Morgan, TE Austin Tate, LT Austin Beck, C Luke Carpentier, RT Chris Stringer, and LB Price Holmes. At least the OL is white. Wow, Arkansas is one of the whitest SEC teams, just be maintaining their low number of white starters.

Offense
QB- Brandon Allen
TE- Mitchell Loewen
LT- David Hurd
LG- Mitch Smothers
C- Travis Swanson
RG- Brey Cook

Defense
MLB- Austin Jones

Thanks for the preview Jack Lambert.I also hope the coach Bielema can lighten up the completion of the team some over the next few years.

I was working in Fayetteville right after he was hired and for a while it seemed to be 2-3 players a day committing to Arkansas and a lot of them had white sounding names.Unfortunately i always heard the names while i was working and never took the time to look them up so i'm not sure exactly what the racial makeup of all those commitments is going to be.

Have you seen or heard if they are going to use Brandon Mitchell as a QB or receiver this year?I've always watched the Razorbacks no matter how bad the team was but i really don't want to see AR go with a black QB and that style of play.

Bud, I'm happy to report that Mitchell is no longer with the team, leaving the Allen brothers as 1-2 on the QB depth chart. :)

Nice work as always Jack Lambert!

On Rivals.com was surprised to see the depth chart showing athletic AJ Derby(6'-5" 240) as the back-up QB...an Iowa transfer via C.C. was a All American player out of HS....could have played TE.

They also have Austin Jones on the 1st team....

Sorry to see things did not workout for DE Austin Flynn & LB Vin Ascolese on defense...they will miss Ross Rasner one of the teams leading tacklers last season.

The Class of 2013 looks promising with WR/Ath Drew Morgan(early playing time); DB Alex Brignoni, LB Brooks Ellis(already 2nd team) & 6'-6" TE Hunter Henry

Jack Lambert has already posted that Mitchell Loewen has been projected as the starter at tight end for the Razorbacks, but i thought it'd be informative to show 1) just how versatile an athlete he is, and 2) how deeply this talented White kid was buried under the previous administrations' evaluations.

a walk-on who was recently granted a scholarship by Bielema, Loewen has already played the following positions as a Razorback: MLB --> OLB --> DE --> DT --> OG --> C --> DT --> FB, and now is the presumptive starter at TE.

he's just a redshirt sophomore. the native Hawaiian has emerged "from nowhere" after literally dominating in obscurity for the past two years (and in high school). the coaching change has been a welcomed opportunity for at least this talented athlete.

Did some research on Austin Jones and coach Bielema just said this week that he's the starter at the Mike LB position. Always exciting when a white player makes it on defense in the SEC.
Thats a whopping 7 white starters for the Razorbacks.

i should add that it wouldn't surprise me if Arkansas' offensive line emerges as one of the best in the country this season. the reason? they've bought into the philosophy and program of new Arkansas strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert.

Herbert is renowned around the country for his coaching acumen, and the results are already being seen, perhaps most noticeably amongst the o-linemen. i've seen facebook updates of Brey Cook and Travis Swanson ... and those guys are turning into MONSTERS. hopefully, the new coaching staff will continue developing White athletes and dominating on the field.

speaking of White athletes, true freshman wide receiver Drew Morgan has been making a lot of plays. he's been lining up almost exclusively on the outside (not in the slot, where the "experts" tried to put him), and it looks like he has a very good chance to play a significant role this season ... barring something unforeseen, of course. hopefully, he'll surprise everyone in the SEC and blow things up.

Thank you guys so much for all of the Razorbacks info! I updated my post accordingly. It would be great to see Drew Morgan and Loewen dominate the SEC this year.

I hope Austin Jones tears it up as the MLB.

I agree with you, Jimmy! I hope Bielema and co. can develop some white talent for the Razorbacks in the coming years. Wouldn't it be great to have a whiter SEC title contender? I'm hoping he can at least get the Razorbacks up to 8-9 white starters again most years.

This could be the beginning of greatness out of the program under the new coach. The Hogs looked good in the first game and should have the firepower on offense to win some games as long as the defense can stop the other teams. This has to be one of the whitest teams i've ever watched Arkansas use.

Brandon Allen looked calm and in control for the whole game and really looked good airing it out on the 50 yard toss.Finishing the game at almost 70% passing with 230 yards and 3 tds with no picks. As long as the run game continues to do good he should have a breakout season.

Hunter Henry had a nice start to his season and looked like a beast with 5 receptions for 75 yards. His fumble would have happened to 95% of the players in college so no gripes there but he really needs to watch putting his hand on the ground and then picking it back up since he was flagged twice for it.

just a quick update ...

center Travis Swanson is certainly making a case to win the Rimington Award as the nation's top center. he had 16 knockdown blocks in the Hogs' opener. the undisputed leader of the offensive line and a team captain, Swanson also keeps the negroes on the team in check. he literally knocked some sense into the freshman tailback last week after the afflete got an unsportsmanlike penalty for excessive celebration after a touchdown. heh. Swanson picked him up and shook him like a dog with a bone. it was hilarious!

the Razorbacks o-line truly might be the best in the country when all is said and done. as of right now, they have paved the way for two relatively unknown backs (freshman Alex Collins and sophomore Jonathan Williams) to both be in the Top 10 nationally in rushing. not bad, even when considering it was against weak opposition.

defensively, linebacker Price Holmes (yet another former walk-on who'd been buried on the depth chart by the former coaching staff) has emerged as the best coverage linebacker on the squad. he is getting a lot of snaps, especially in passing situations, and there is a chance his playing time will continue to grow.

Thanks for the update, Jimmy! That's pretty cool about Swanson keeping his more athletic and carefree teammates in check. Also, will note the update with Holmes.
