2012 Utah Utes

Here are your white starting Utes for 2012. Since '05, Utah has started 11, 11, 11, 8, 8, 11, and 11 whites. With some luck in camp, it will be 11 again this year. If Norris wins his job, Utah will have a majority white D in 2012! Some white reserves to look for are QB Travis Wilson, WR Griff McNabb, C Vyncent Jones, DE Hunter Dimick, MLB Dave Fagergren, and SS Quade Chappuis. Utah loves their polynesian players, so much as there to being potentially no blacks on the OL or DL two deep!! Black players look to be limited to the skill positions and a linebacker here or there in Utah's system now.

Interesting outlook, Jack. The increasing use of the poly pipeline is one of the most frustrating things I see when I look at the current racial dynamics of college football. You'd think it would be limited to the west, but in a copycat profession everyone is jumping on the poly bandwagon, even smaller schools in the South. I'm not satisfied that they take positions away from blacks either, because Whites are still not getting the position, so nothing really changes. In some ways, it is getting even worse. Still, it would be nice to see Utah with a majority White defense, a very rare thing these days.
