The nickname Tar Heels is said to have come from descriptions of North Carolina Confederate troops during the War for Southern Independence. North Carolina produced more tar, pitch, and turpentine than any other state in the Union and it was said the Carolinians held their ground in battle as if their heels were stuck in tar.

The current version of the UNC football "Tar Heels" look more like a herd of tarred people, as they are an overwhelmingly black team. Since '05, they have started 9, 8, 5, 7, 4, 5 and 4 Whites. Their new black coach is making the team even darker than the darkest of caste tool Butch Davis' teams. Whites will likely fill just 3 of the 22 full time positions on this team in 2012.

White reserves include TE Sean Fitzpatrick, C/LG Peyton Jenest, RG David Collins, RT T.J. Leifheit, WLB Tommy Heffernan, RAMs Pete Mangum and Jeff Schoettmer

I was surprised to see that this thread existed already, since I was certain UNC football did not include a single white athlete. In any case, this thread gets bumped because a negro superstar has astoundingly lowered the bar even further for black academic expectations.

UNC’s Erik Highsmith caught plagiarizing 11-year-olds

As the spring 2011 semester wound to a close, UNC-Chapel Hill football player Erik Highsmith had nothing to show for the blog students were supposed to contribute to for a communications class, his instructor said. The blog accounted for 30 percent of a student’s grade.

Highsmith wrote two posts in seven days. The first was about poultry farming, the second about people and pets. Very little of either post was in his own words.
The first entry was virtually identical to a passage on an education website written by four 11-year-olds for their peers. The second mirrored much of an essay someone posted on Urch.com, a website that helps people prepare for the SAT, GRE and other college entry exams.

The four investigations into academic fraud at UNC-CH are largely focused on classes within the African and Afro-American Studies Department that never met. But another theme is also emerging as more becomes known about the school work: football players cutting and pasting from various sources to fulfill written assignments.

Further proof that with integration, anything is possible!

2013 UNC Tar Heels

Since '05, they have started 9, 8, 5, 7, 4, 5, 4 and 5 Whites. Larry Fedora looks to be recruiting some white players as their looks to be alot of younger white depth as the rest of Butch Davis's black recruits use up their eligibility.

Bryn Renner is the best QB in the ACC, a conference filled with black quarterbacks. Look for him to have a big year and move up draft boards. Same goes for James Hurst who when the first game of the season they face South Carolina and he will be matched up against the hype machine Jadceefvon Clowney.

Players to watch are Athlete Ryan Switzer, WR Nic Platt, TE Dalton Stogner, OL Jon HEck, OT John Ferranto, LB Tommy Heffernan, LB Nathan Staub, DE Alec Petrocelli, S Jeff Schoettmer, DB Ryan Mangum, CB Andrew Moore
