Louisiana Tech probably can boast what the other 123 FBS teams can't! TWO White Tailbacks on the "2-Deep" Depth Chart....the projected starter Hunter Lee 5'-10 200 (soph.) began the season as a 4th-string walk-on..ended up starting 4 games(rushed for 127 yards vs Ole Miss defense); as well as the Bowl game. Ray Holley 5-9" 200 (Sr.) should see plenty of reps this season; hopefully he stays healthy.

Since 2005 they have started 4, 9, 9, 7, 8, 9, & 6 last season; including Senior DE Matt Broha who should land a roster spot w/ the NY Giants!

This year it looks to be 6 once again...the offense has improved..but is offset by a defense that looks to be coal-black.

Back-up's seeing playing time...WR-David Gru...TE-Chandler Spence(start 3 WR set)...LB-Kevin Kisseberth LB-Ches Morrison LB-Ty Hook..DB Connor Nichols(torn achilles tendon last year) FS Kevin Schrang...

QB-Colby Cameron
RB- Hunter Lee
WR-Andrew Guillot
LG- Kevin Saia
C- Stephen Warner
RG-Matthew Sheppard

That's really cool about LA Tech! Even though they only have 6 white starters, I hope they win the WAC this year.

I was as disapointed as anybody that two freshman RB's surpassed Hunter Lee & Ray Holley; now hybrid slot recievers/RB's..one of the freshman Tevin King is out for the year after...never like to see anybody injured...but hope Lee & Holley can make the most if they get the opportunity...but for some dwf's this means heavier workload for the other freshman Dixon.

Louisiana Tech has been a scoring machine so far this season...beat Iliinios 52-24 last week.

Louisiana Tech RB Tevin King to Miss Remainder of 2012 Season

Louisiana Tech head coach Sonny Dykes announced on his weekly radio show Monday that running back Tevin King will miss the remainder of the 2012 season due to a knee injury.King sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the Bulldogs 52-24 win at Illinois on Sept. 24.

The freshman from Moultrie, Ga. led the Western Athletic Conference with an average of 117.67 rushing yards per game and five rushing touchdowns. He was ranked eighth nationally in rushing, tied for 17[SUP]th[/SUP] nationally in scoring and 29[SUP]th[/SUP] nationally in all-purpose yardage (138.67 per game), leading the WAC in that category as well.

"Somebody else will have to step up and that is just the way this game is played," Dykes said early Monday at his weekly press conference before King's status was fully known. "Everybody goes through injuries. There are going to be injuries this year to players, and you hate it for the players and you hate it for our team. But, it is an opportunity for somebody else to make an impact on our program."

Louisiana Tech plays at Virginia this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN3. The Bulldogs have three other running backs on its roster - senior Ray Holley, sophomore Hunter Lee and freshman Kenneth Dixon - with extensive experience while walk-on Brandon Davis saw action at Illinois last week.
