The UK football team drew 1-1 with Senegal. I'd no idea they were playing today so I don't have any racial breakdown of the British team. The only thing I've heard about it was that Senegal's tackling was shocking - Craig Bellamy was injured. Looks like they could have used Beckham.

great britain drawing with senegal sounds logical
you can be pretty sure that the team was disgustingly black

i also just saw that bielorussia won against new zealand

uvini didn't play for brazil, juan instead, because juan was bought by internazionale while uvini hasn't signed with ac milan yet
i hope that bielorussia will upset them in the next match - very unlikely but let's see

GB had 6 black or partly black starters. this from a European nation..

Look at this quote from Pearce:

""Physically, Senegal were a bigger side than us and more powerful. But that's not an excuse, we will come away from the match, have a good look at it and see where we go from there."

Does this idiot want to get even more big, black players who can't play and just crush people with bad tackles?

I think you mean Matías Aguirregaray ? That guy is actually white I think. Urretavizcaya is a Mestizo.

http://www.london2012.com/athlete/aguirregaray-matias-1073371/

yes, this guy is the son of an uruguayan professional player and he's the white one

regarding the other player, it's really strange to see a player being really mestizo looking while he has such a typical basque surname ( Urretavizcaya)

his maternal name is "da luz" which is portuguese, so probably brazilian

Well, the circus has begun. Funnily enough, despite their "ultra-physical" approach the Senegalese didn't have any players sent off, yet both Spain and "Switzerland" had players red-carded. Of course, I haven't seen any of the games and am solely relying on match reports...

The composition of the "Great Britain" team is unfortunately roughly congruent with that of the "performers" in the opening ceremony... :yell: :censored:

American Amy Wambach sucker punched by black Columbian during yesterday's match - the USA won it.

Obviously the Columbian didn't listen to Jacques Rogge's speech on fair play at the Opening Ceremony. Or maybe she saw Cassius Clay and figured anything goes.

If you go to You Tube be sure to read some of the funny insults directed at Columbia in the comments below.

Of course, they said 5 of the Colombians play soccer at US colleges.

Referee helped Honduras beat Spain. Mind you, the Spanish had lots of chances they should've converted - a couple of them missed by a half black player. I don't recall the last time I saw a team so angry at a referee. There were a couple of occasions at the end when I really thought some Spanish player would punch him.

Well, wasn't that a "wonderful" day of Olympic football?

Three of the four European teams lost - that's if one counts the "Swiss" side as European, given they started three Albanians, one black, and the part-mestizo Ricardo Rodriguez in their 1-2 defeat against the dog-eaters of South Korea.

Spain has been eliminated after two matches, failing to even score a single goal against "high calibre" opposition consisting of Japan and Honduras. What a "performance"...

Belarus was beaten 1-3 by a Brazilian side which started a mere three Whites (goalkeeper Neto, midfielder Oscar and striker Pato). The only positive was that two of the Brazilian goals were scored by White players. Belarus's goal came from the "naturalised" White Brazilian (groan...)Renan Bressan.

"Great Britain" (starting seven Whites and "only" four blacks) beat the United Arab Emirates to the tune of 3-1. It's just too bad that all of the "British" goals were scored by blacks...

To top things off, Uruguay lost 0-2 to Senegal - that's despite being a man up for an entire hour, following the 30th minute expulsion of some filthy black scrote by the name of Abdoulaye Ba. Bloody unbelievable...

i don't get how spain could lose to a honduras youth team, it's impossible
with that much talented players?
even the striker who was part black is a brazilian player, so he's not bad
i didn't see any footage of any match but it's really surprising
maybe they didn't really care

as for uruguay losing against senegal, it reminds us that after all, it's just a youth tournament
big african countries do well in youth tournaments because blacks mature earlier, they have fake birthdates so they are older than they pretend to be, and having a big population is more important than in senior tournaments

bielorussia leading against brazil, even if it wasn't for more than 5 minutes, is impressive, for all the reasons given above
the european clubs need to wake up and buy some of these players
this way they will have more confidence when playing international football and leading against brazil won't be surprising to them anymore
we, french, led against brazil and we were able to win 1-0 in the end, on multiple occasions
there are no reasons why bielorussia couldn't do it, because the french teams that managed that weren't incredible, they only had zidane in 2006 which is irrelevant because when you score against brazil it's often from a free kick or a corner kick and then all you have to do is defend well

i hope that bielorussia will beat egypt and advance to the next stage

A Swiss footballer who, if his name is anything to go by, appears to come from the Italian-speaking part of the country, has been thrown out of the Olympics for an offensive tweet after losing to South Korea. He said they were a “bunch of mongoloidsâ€￾ who "can go burn". He apologised but pointed out he'd been provoked by tweets that were sent to him. At the moment though I can't find any record of what the offensive posts sent to him consisted of and who made them (racist Koreans?).

he wrote the insults in french, it was barely understandable, he wrote in "verlan" which means that every word is spelled backwards
apparently he was angry because the south korean fans booed him for the whole match

apparently he also mentionned some korean reactions after the match

the biggest disappointment for me is beckham not being in the great britain
team, incredible

Yes, totally agree, Beckham deserved it not only because of his reputation or sentimental reasons, but on merit as well…I hope that he will at least get the chance to appear in another World Cup (2014).

Senegal seems to be a bogey team for Uruguay (this is actually Uruguay’s first soccer Olympic loss in 88 years!), the Africans didn’t lose confidence even after being reduced to 10 men. I have noticed that Senegalese tend to be more disciplined than other African sides like Cameroon (they rarely lash out at opponents or find other ways to lose their temper). Great Britain vs. Uruguay could be a thrilling match…

as for bressan, it's disapointing that there is a naturalised player in the bielorussia team, but i really think that with him bielorussia will be able to do great things
i remember the qualifying matches against bielorussia that france played last year, bielorussia won 1 and did a draw in the second match, and they should have won both matches
when they were leading in the second match they had a lapse of concentration just after the goal and france scored immediatly
that really seems to be the biggest weakpoint of these eastern european teams, i saw france play against a lot of them these past years and they were very skilled, but they weren't able to be focused for the whole match

Bressan played well and provided an important assist for the winning goal against the “Kiwis”, he also found the net against his country of birth (the Eastern Europeans did not look out of their depth against the South American giants)…Belarus will simply need a draw vs. Egypt in order to advance from their group, so they are now in the driving seat.

Good point, this certainly applies to the Balkan teams, it’s a mental issue (I remember many instances of Serbian, Bulgarian, Romanian or Croatian clubs succumbing to last-minute goals).

speaking of family ties in eastern european teams i remember that there were 2 hleb brothers playing for bielorussia, the former barcelona player and his brother who played in china

That’s right – Aliaksandr Hleb recently signed for BATE Borisov and we may see him in the group stages of this year’s Champions League. His brother Vyacheslau was quite popular in China, but is now also back in the Belarusian Premier League.

The only thing I've heard about it was that Senegal's tackling was shocking - Craig Bellamy was injured

I didn’t watch the fixture, but Giggs looked livid (in the post-match interview)…his assessment was that one of the Senegalese players would have been "sent off three times" if it had been a Premier League match (and we now that English refs are not overly strict when it comes to fouling). Senegal’s red card against Uruguay resulted from a heavy tackle on Suarez (I think that Abdoulaye Ba, one of their tall defenders, was guilty of engaging in rough play against the British as well). Luckily, Bellamy is fine.

Referee helped Honduras beat Spain. Mind you, the Spanish had lots of chances they should've converted - a couple of them missed by a half black player. I don't recall the last time I saw a team so angry at a referee.

I feel sorry for Spain, they hit the woodwork three times, but Japan and Honduras were actually pretty good and looked like well-drilled teams…the Spaniards lost the plot at the end of the game (especially Alvaro Dominguez). The referee looked extremely nervous (he should have awarded a penalty to Spain in the 90[SUP]th[/SUP] minute or so, but I don’t think that he was biased against the Iberians and don’t like how he was harangued and manhandled by the Spanish players).

GB had 7 whites, 3 blacks and Giggs starting in their defeat of UAE.

Giggs was the captain and his goal against the UAE made him the oldest goalscorer in Olympic soccer history (he is 38).

i didn't see any footage of any match but it's really surprising
maybe they didn't really care

Nah, I think that they were quite motivated, must have been a combination of bad luck, fatigue (some footballers like Alba were part of the team that won the Euro Cup), overconfidence and unexpectedly solid defensive performances on the part of the Japanese and Hondurans. Some of the Spanish players had to be restrained by teammates at the end of the match (they wanted to remonstrate with the Venezuelan referee).

@Matra2 and @Frederic, thanks for the link and the screenshot, very weird case…I can’t say that I like these comments, as (to my knowledge) the South Koreans won fair and square against the Swiss, but he is entitled to his opinion and shouldn’t be banned from further participation…Switzerland are almost out of the tournament.

Btw, if you need up-to-date information pertaining to players, I recommend the following website: www.flashscore.com (it provides all the line-ups/substitutions for Premier League, Bundesliga, World Cup qualifying, and Olympic tournament matches).

i agree with pretty much everything giles but i just wanted to add something:

Senegal seems to be a bogey team for Uruguay (this is actually Uruguay’s first soccer Olympic loss in 88 years!)

uruguay if i'm not mistaken didn't qualify for any olympic games, except when olympic games were the world cup (1924 and 1928) so what was a more significant stat is that uruguay didn't lose any world cup match from 1924 to 1950, winning 4 world cups in the process, 3 of them in a row

since the olympic games started to be a youth tournament, uruguay started to have trouble because they are a small country, but since they didn't even qualify they still were unbeaten at the olympic games
as an example djibouti never lost any world cup match

thanks for the link by the way

uruguay and belarus lost so the whitest teams left are brazil and great britain, both very black but i will root for brazil

remember that it's only a youth tournament and seeing brazil win wouldn't be a surprise as they have an infinite talent pool compared to very small countries like belarus, uruguay ect

i just hope that belarus played 100%
it was alreaady a big victory for them yo be there

argentina might have been able to win this competition with a pretty white team but there are only 2 south american teams at these olympics so argentina who won it last time isn't even there this time

the only thing i was disappointed with was brazil playing with thiago silva and juan, so uvini doesn't play
murara neto the goalkeeper who i mentionned when i registered to this forum a year ago plays
pato ofcourse
oscar also and he seems to do very well (goals and assists, he might be the player of the tournament)

the english booing the uruguayan anthem was a disgrace (i think it was because suarez was racist?)

also the father of a french female player (eugenie le sommer) was prevented from using a flag of brittany, a french region ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brittany )
regionalism is important in france and it's ridiculous that we can't show our support to our region

I couldn't be bothered to comment on this woeful ****e, apart from saying that it's been an all-round disaster for us. In order to "minimise" the damage, a win by "Great Britain" (with, at the very least, six White starters...) has now become vital. What the hell have we been reduced to...?

And one of those whites has just messed up for Great Britain. After that poor first penalty that Aaron Ramsey took and very luckily scored I was surprised to see him step up to take the second. I was not at all surprised that he missed it. He takes too fast a run and relies entirely on power over placement.

BTW those last two goals that Senegal conceded belong in the black defenders thread. Hilarious stuff.:biggrin1:

The South Korean goalie didn't fall for the TNB, the faux swagger by Sturridge! Classic!! No medal opportunity for the Brits now.

here is a senegalese player releasing his anger on a mexican player:

OLYMPIC-HEADKICK.gif

he didn't get a red card and as you can see in the video the referee saw it perfectly

this african comes from a football academy in africa that i mentionned here (djambars): http://www.castefootball.us/forums/...sive-club-ever?p=238820&viewfull=1#post238820 and plays in french league, in the north of the country like most players from this academy when they don't play for a scandinavian club

in FIFA international competitions african teams are allowed every thing, it has to stop: http://www.castefootball.us/forums/...World-Cup-2010?p=226474&viewfull=1#post226474

I am so sick of all these African imports populating European leagues.

The same goes for Oscar, Neymar and the other Brazilians.

these are not the best examples of south americans populating european leagues because there is one big difference:
the africans were brought to europe to replace the local players
they came as very young kids, like we don't have young kids in europe
and they took our places in the youth categories of our local clubs

oscar and neymar developped in brazil and will come in europe as big stars
there are however example of young players from south america doing the same as these africans, but they are much more talented than the africans
in italy especially (that's one of the reasons why currently they don't have a decent young striker that can put the over-rated balotelli on the bench)
i remember uruguayan coaches and officials complaining that an entire uruguayan youth squad went to italy to play a youth tournament and never came back
this issue is very well known in uruguay
if you look at the youth categories of some italian clubs you will see africans and brazilians-uruguayans-argentines that never played in south america professionally
when they do this their home club loses money because i don't even think that they get a little money (usually when a player is transfered you have to pay a little bit of money to the club that trained him - for example grenoble received money from arsenal when giroud was transferred from montpellier to arsenal - but since they leave so young i don't even think that they get any money)

the same problem is very well known in africa also, not for the same reasons, but because a lot of these young kids that are brought in europe are brought illegally (see samuel etoo for example) and if they are refused by the european club they end up homeless, they become male prostitutes ect
this is a taboo topic in sports but it happens every day

in both cases (south americans and africans) the ones to blame are the representatives that make the parents of the young kid sign a piece of paper, send the kid in europe then try to make them enter an european club (with a fake birthdate usually to make them appear younger)

also, regarding the south americans, some players who are not good enough to play in their home country go to europe and that's not right because only the best should be allowed to play in europe after proving themselves in their home country (like tiago silva for example) - that's the point of having a 3 non-european players limit (this limit doesn't applies to the africans though because of the cotonou agreements)
some example of these players who managed to become pretty popular (there are countless other players but they are unknown and play for small clubs and/or in minor leagues): david luiz and pepe

then there are the clubs that buy a disproportionately big amount of south american players (usually tier 2 players unlike oscar or neymar) to be more competitive, like the portuguese clubs or some italian clubs like catania, that's another problem
