Here are the white starters for the Indiana Hoosiers this year. Kevin Wilson is in his 2nd year as Indiana's coach, and will look to improve on his 1 win season, in which he only beat FCS for South Carolina State, and included embarrassing losses to Ball St. and North Texas. Since '05, Indiana has started 11, 12, 8, 9, 9, 11, and 10 whites. It looks like a gain of one or two white starters this year, depending how the QB situation works out. Either way, we should have a half-white team again for the Hoosiers, so hopefully they won't suck this year. Indiana also has two great white secondary players with CB Greg Heban and S Mark Murphy, who did well last year as a true frosh. Some white reserves to look for are RB Matt Perez, WRs Logan Young and Nick Stoner, TE Jake Reed, LT Bill Ivan, C David Kaminski, RG Cody Evers, RT Pete Bachman, DTs Tyler McGuigan and Nicholas Sliger, MLB Griffen Dahlstrom, WLB Kyle Kennedy, and SLB Mike Replogle.

Offense
QB- Cameron Coffman- in a fight for the position
WR- Kofi Hughes
TE- Ted Bolser
LT- Charlie Chapman
C- Will Matte
RG- Collin Rahrig
RT- Peyton Eckert

Defense
DT- Adam Replogle
RE- Ryan Phillis
SLB- Chase Hoobler
CB- Greg Heban
FS- Mark Murphy

Greg Heban is now listed 2nd string corner behind Kenny Mullen and Matt Perez is not even on the 3 deep. Not good news.

Also, the rivals chart has Coffman as backup QB. Looks like another white loses out in a QB battle.

here is an update for the Hoosiers' opening game starters:

Defense
LE - Ryan Phillis (sophomore)
DT - Adam Replogle (senior; he's a good one!)
RE - John Laihinen (sophomore)
WLB - Chase Hoobler (sophomore)
S - Mark Murphy (sophomore)

Offense
TE - Ted Bolser (junior)
LT - Jason Spriggs (true freshman)
C - Will Matte (senior)
RG - Dan Feeney (true freshman)
RT - Peyton Eckert (sophomore)

wide receiver Nick Stoner (sophomore) didn't start, but he saw a lot of snaps. the former cornerback is a youngster to keep an eye on, as he has breakaway speed. he's also used in the return game.

tight end Ted Bolser has good speed for the position, and he is lined up in the slot far more often than he's lined up tight. he had a 38-yard touchdown catch-and-run called back due to a penalty.

wide receiver Kofi Hughes did not play in the game. perhaps he is injured?

also, as you can see, their defense is very young (3 of their black starters are sophomores or juniors, as well), and their only senior starting White defensive player is Replogle. cornerback (now turned safety) Greg Heban played a lot, but didn't start (even though he appears to be a much better cover man than the "real" corners ... ). so all of their White contributors should be coming back, except for their big d-tackle.

in the opener, Murphy (6 solo tackles, 7 total), Hoobler (5 solo tackles and 1 sack, 7 total tackles), Replogle (4 solo tackles and 1 sack), and linebacker Griffen Dahlstrom (3 solo tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble) had big games. Dahlstrom is a junior.
