The 2011 version of the Vols will probably feature a pathetic 4 White starters. Since '06, UT has started 4, 5, 5, 5, and 4 Whites. This year White backups include QB Matt Simms, FB Ben Bartholomew, WR Zach Rogers, TE Brendan Downs, LT Jacob Gilliam, C Alex Bullard, RG Darin Gooch, RT Carson Anderson, NT Joseph Ayres, and MLB John Propst.

Offense
QB Tyler Bray
FB Channing Fugate

Defense
NT Daniel Hood
MLB Austin Johnson

After decimating Montana and Cincinnati, the MSM was building up Tennessee against Florida in the swamp. So, this is a case where I was glad that Florida won. "Vol Nation" is disgusting as well.

Tennessee lost a wideout in said game: http://eye-on-collegefootball.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/24156338/32091830

Tennessee's loss to rival Florida on Saturday is painful enough for the Vols on its own, but it hurt even more with some bad news on Sunday afternoon.

After suffering a knee injury during Saturday's game, Tennessee confirmed on Sunday that wide receiver Justin Hunter will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.

Hunter is expected to recover in time to return to the team for spring practice next year.

Which isn't much solace to the Tennessee offense now. Hunter had 16 catches for 302 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Vols two victories so far this season. He had 1 reception for 12 yards before tearing his ACL on Saturday.

If there's any silver lining to this cloud for Tennessee, it's that Tyler Bray still has a nice target in Da'Rick Rogers, who has 20 catches for 262 yards and 4 touchdowns on the season.

Tyler Bray is reportedly out for several weeks with an injury to his right thumb.

His backup is White anyways (Matt Simms). However, if Simms fails, I wouldn't feel a thing.. as any team fielding a 5 sumo o-line deserves to crash-and-burn.

Is it a coincidince that Tennessee ranks LAST in Rushing yards in the SEC with the all Sumo-O-Line?? They face LSU this weekend; who happens to have a strong run-game with 4 of the 5 starters being white...hmm

Former Fullback now LB-Austin Johnson 6'-2" 240(sr.)leads the Vols in Tackles with 34. He shows tremendous burst & instincts; has sideline-to-sideline speed the SEC craves...he should be on the NFL radar now! BTW All-Academic SEC the past three seasons...

National Signing Day is coming up soon on February 1st...the Vols have 21 commitments so far...6 are white.

ATH-Cody Blanc
TE-Justin Meredith 6'-5" 210 4.6
LB-Dalton Santos;
DT-Danny O'Brien
QB(dual-threat)Nathan Peterman
K-George Bullock

Will keep an eye on Blanc 6-0 190 (4.41)...has thread here of HS forum...does he get a shot at Tailback...or a Ryan Swope type WR?? Or DB which supposedly he will play?

He's got his doubters of course with a Topic called "Does Blanc Get the Boot"?? like Volplaya8...who thinks he should play at DII Carson Newman...if he were not so melanin deficient this topic would have never started!

*last post on pg 1

But others give him props; some say a diamond in the rough. One recommends a gray-shirt...after all white families have $$$..

RB-Alden Hill looks a little like Ryan Matthews
