Remember when LB Aaron Curry was touted over and over again as the "safest pick" in the 2009 Draft? Turns out Curry can't cover receivers or rush the passer. Of course, the same "experts" claimed that Brian Robiskie was the most "NFL ready" receiver in the same draft.

The Seahawks are planning to have SLB Aaron Curry drop back into coverage less in 2011.
"Especially in space," according to the National Football Post. A disappointment as a pass rusher as well, Curry's strength and long arms make him solid around the line of scrimmage, but that's not the kind of player you usually take with the fourth overall pick in the draft.

LOL! I love it when highly touted draft picks flop. Aaron Maybin is another case of a collossal reach and I know Buffalo is regretting ever picking him.

The NFL absolutely loves blacks from "academic institutions" like Wake Forest, Stanford, Vandy, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Boston College, Duke and Penn State... but will toss many of their stud White athletes aside. The "overdrafting" of Aaron Curry, Levi Brown, Aaron Maybin, Ron Brace, Gosder Cherilus, Courtney Brown, BJ Raji and Anthony Weaver are some examples of this pattern.

Also, the sumo DT from Penn State that was selected #12 by St. Louis and is now on the Minnesota Vikings. For the moment, I can't recall his name..

The Seahawks signed the legendary Tarvaris Jackson today. Don't know if they want him over Charlie Whitehurst or not as I don't know if they signed Jackson for starter money or not yet. What a joke if they want him as the starter.

Check this out.
According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Seahawks are "likely" to sign free agent Matt Leinart to compete for a backup job.

The Seahawks didn't want Leinart last year, but they've lowered their quarterback standards this time around. In Seattle, Leinart would figure to compete with Charlie Whitehurst for the primary backup job. The Seahawks may try to pass it all off as a three-way battle, but Tarvaris Jackson is the favorite to start.

Charlie Whitehurst was signed to starter's money just last season, a move which surprised many. Sounds like Pete Carroll or whoever was behind signing Jackson has gone off the deep end as it was the consensus even in the Caste NFL that Jackson wasn't a capable starter.

I thought Kris Durham had landed in a pretty good situation as a rookie, but no longer.

That is a thumb's down. The new and former offensive coordinator of Minnesota, Darrell Bevell, must be the culprit, that’s not to say Carroll doesn’t look like a twirp. I never did like the idea of coaches favoring a player from a team they once coached. If there is an open competition, then fine. If the coach is closed minded just because of their familiarity with the player, it tells me something about the individual.

Seattle is rapidly moving up the list of teams to root against this year, joining the ranks of TB, PIT, NJY, and PHI, among others. It's early, but if the recent indications hold-up, this team will have a coal-black defensive starting unit, with a couple of white token players thrown in, and at most 3-4 starters on offense. Kris Durham and John Carlson would be the only bright spots, but with black quarterback Tarvaris Jackson at the helm, even that's suspicious.

Looks like Pete Carroll is completely abandoning his formula from USC (White QB, majority OL, and a few defenders), and instead locked up in a race with Raheem Morris and Mike Tomlin on who has the most black starters this year.

STL and possibly AZ are the teams to root for in this division considering the recent addition of whites on their rosters.

Zach Miller will now be playing for the Seahawks. He'll have the immortal Tavaris Jackson throwing him the ball so his numbers will certainly go down. Jason Campbell is a HOFer compared to ole Tavaris.

I like how Zach Miller is getting respect and could be even better in Seattle. I even saw one article refer to Miller as potentially a top 5 TE. However, this makes John Carlson a very capable and probably underused backup. I hope he is either traded (rumors) to a team where he can start or leave for greener pastures next year when he is a free agent.

Zach Miller is a Top 5 TE in the NFL IMO! Travaris Jackson is probably the worst starter of the NFL starting QB's...

BTW RB-Chase Renyolds just signed!

Jackson may be deemed the starter at first. But I seriously doubt this inept black quarterback will be able to hold onto his starting job. I'm hoping Whitehurst shows moxy and poise in the pocket and flashes some leadership. He now has Rice, Durham, Miller, and Carlson to throw to and it should help him out alot.

This also has you thinking where does this move leave Jameson Konz? the TE/HB. In a fair world he and Kris Durham would be starting at the outside spots. Edit: just saw that Konz was cut, hopefully he can go to a team that will use him.

Great that Chase Reynolds was signed by them. Hopefully he gets a real shot. They don't have any noteworthy backs on their team. Marshawn Lynch had that one run in the playoffs, but that wasn't because of spectacular ability, but rather poor tackling by a team trying strip the ball.

Konz is another guy who is in a similar situation to Matt Jones. Both are freak athletes, among the best in the entire league. When Jones got drafted they weren't sure what position he would play. Some said tight end and others receiver.

Same thing goes for Konz. He's considered a receiver by some, a tight end by others, or possibly a running back. Isn't it very strange and suspicious that the freak white athletes never have a true position when they get into the league?

i hope someone will trade for John Carlson, maybe Giants now that their TE Ben Patrick decided to suddenly retire? They are left with Bear Pascoe and predicted starter, Travis Beckum.

Jameson Konz was playing D-End tonight...

Undrafted rookie free-agent FS Jesse Hoffman(4.47) was playing CB in 4th! Looked good the little I saw..almost had INT in end-zone on last play..hope he can at least land on practice squad??

It looks like clown Pete Carroll is helping to the keep the quota of starting black quarterbacks in the league.

Coach Pete Carroll said he is not opening the quarterback position to competition yet.

Charlie Whitehurst thoroughly outplayed Tarvaris Jackson in the preseason opener, but Carroll isn't moving off his earlier declaration that T-Jack is his starter. If he remains stubborn, there's a good chance Jackson's woeful inaccuracy and inconsistency will handcuff this entire offense. We're expecting both quarterbacks to make starts this season.

It looks like "caste" Carroll has already cut Chase Reynolds. Thomas Clayton looked good on that TD run, where he made a great cut bouncing it to the outside. He showed me more talent than I thought he had. Clayton may have fair and square ended up winning the battle for a roster spot.

With Reynolds college resume though, and only 4 other tailbacks on the team, he deserved more than a mere 6 carries in the 1st pre-season game to show something. Such is the MO for caste clown Pete "company prostitute" Carroll.

Just looked, it looks like Reynolds was waived to make room for Nevada back Vai Taua. We know Carroll prefers darker prospects, we'll see how that works out.

The "Blackhawks" completed their purge today, cutting several Whites (the few they had during the camp), including Jameson Konz.

By my count, this team should have 11-12 total Whites on the roster, including the K/LS/P. The only 2 skill players are Zach Miller and Kris Durham. The defense is coal black, with the exception of David Vobora and Matt McCoy, both of whom will likely see limited action and relegated mostly to special teams.

Pete Carroll obviously does not want to be outdone by the Raheem Morris' and Mike Tomlins of the world in the battle for the blackest team in the league. This sorry bunch should win no more than 4-5 games, and look for the useless black quarterback Tarvaris Jackson to be replaced at some point this season.

Come to think of it, Mike "Walrus" Holmgren looks White-friendly compared to this clown Carroll.

I noticed that the Seachickens added Jameson Konz to the practice squad. It makes a bit of sense, since they have switched him over to defensive end, he's probably got a lot to learn. Although it always pains me to see a quality white skill position player being switched to defense, Konz should become a monster DE. With his incredible athleticism, speed, and strength (size, too), he should be almost unblockable.
