There is no reason for Purdue to ever have fewer than 11 white starters, as these statistics show.

West Lafayette (home of Purdue):
74.3% White
17.3% Asian
2.7% African American

Purdue Student Body:
86.9% white
5.51% Asian
3.53% African American

So, the football team, which is majority black, doesn't represent the school. They also don't represent the community in which the school resides.
I would love to hear Danny Hope's pitiful explanation for the horrible racial disparity that exists within his football program.

(There are worse offenders, of course. But Purdue, being an elite academic institution in the Big Ten, has far less excuse for their racism than, for example, Arkansas (which has racial demographics that are even more skewed than Purdue).)
