It wsa nice to see Chris Hanburger finally, after far too many years, inducted into the HOF. However, the annual jokefest continues, as totally undeserving black players like Richard Dent, not to mention Deion Sanders, who was the all time most overrated athlete until Mike/Michael Vick entered the scene, are gleefully enshrined. They actually advertised the fact that this clown was 23rd all time in interceptions. Wow. I can certainly see why he thinks he's one of the top 3 players of all time. Considering the fact he was one of the worst tacklers of all time, that stat is not very impressive.
The idiotic jock sniffers and DWFs clearly have no sense of history, and little knowledge of the game they adore. Jerry Smith retired in the late 1970s, and until Shannon Sharpe and Tony Gonzalez started the modern trend of prolific pass catching TEs, compiled by far the most impressive numbers of anyone who ever played his position. It is a disgrace that his name is never even mentioned for induction. Mick Tingelhoff was universally considered the best center in the NFL for at least a decade. Why isn't he in the HOF? Why are Dent and Singletary in the Hall, but not Dan Hampton, who was thought of as the "star" of that vaunted Bears' defense? Why was Chris Doleman up for enshrinement, but not Keith Millard, the more talented part of the Vikings' DL duo of that era? Why isn't Gary Collins, who was named as a starting WR on the All-Pro DECADE team of the 1960s, not in the HOF? Meanwhile, his counterpart in Cleveland, the wildly overhyped Paul Warfield, is. Look up his stats- anemic doesn't even do them justice. But then again, look at the numbers from "all time great" Lynn Swann. You simply won't believe them. But they are both, of course, Hall of Famers.
I could go on and on, listing tons of white players who are more deserving of enshrinement than the likes of Richard Dent, Rayfield Wright and Charlie Sanders, who is the most undeserving inductee ever for HOF in any sport. Bill Bergey. Len Hauss. Larry Stallings. Jimbo Covert. Jim Lachey. Joe Jacoby. Jerry Kramer. Bob Kuchenberg. Wesley Walls (check out his stats- you would not believe how much more he accomplished than the likes of John Mackey, Mike Ditka and especially the thoroughly mediocre Charlie Sanders). The list could go on and on.
The same Caste System that has limited whites to no more than 20% or so of NFL players, year after year, has clearly set a quota in place, whereby the vast majority of nominees, and therefore inductees, to the HOF are going to be black. There is absolutely no reason to respect or pay attention to the bogus institution that masquerades as the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Edited by: bigunreal
