From Yahoo sports:
Jason Campbell is a good example of how the scouting combine lies to us with quarterback prospects. You can only tell so many things with measurements, field testing and stopwatches. Some players never acquire pocket instincts and awareness.

The blame goes a lot further than just the combine, with its biased methods of selecting participants. How about the media that insisted for five years that Jason Campbell would channel his inner Warren Moon just as soon as he didn't have to deal with new offensive coordinators all the time? Or the media "experts" who unanimously cheered when he was traded to Oakland, instantly annointing him the starter as a huge upgrade over incumbent Bruce Gradowski? Why is that scouts, scouting combines, the media pundits and most of the fans make the same mistakes over and over again, then insist that the playing field is "color blind"?

Well said Don. I always wonder how the DWFs can be so stupid to fall for the same hype by the same scouts and media pundits over and over again. Its the same phenomenon of the American sheeple (many whom are DWFs also) buying into the lies and inaccurate reporting and predictions by mainstream journalists, mainstream economists, mainstream politicians, etc. Until the American public denounce the discredited mainstreamers and start listening to the people who ARE PROVEN CORRECT like a Ron Paul or a Gerald Celente or an Alex Jones or Castefootball, then this cycle of stupidity will continue with no end in sight.

The Raiders selected the slow-footed Rolando McClain as the 8th pick of the first round because of his supposed "intelligence" and "character." Interesting how when White players aren't all-out speed burners they never have the intelligence to be drafted high, only blacks.

Oakland took WR Darrius Heyward-Bey in the first round in '09, whose only attribute was speed. He's a big-time bust. In '10 they selected McClain, who was been perhaps the biggest draft bust of the year to this point. Al Davis is probablytoo senile at this point to even remember the racial composition of his great teams of the '70s.

This "incident" has racial animus written all over it, but not so much "intelligence" and "character" on the part of McClain. And why wasn't McClain charged with a crime at the time it happened? Or maybe he was and the charges were conveniently dropped as they usually are for black athletes.

*** Friday Update *** ILB Rolando McClain (OAK) is being sued by an Alabama student for allegedly hitting him with his car in a 2008 incident, according to CBS 42 Birmingham. The lawsuit states that McClain intentionally hit Matthew Mangham with his car, then hit him a second time throwing Mangham on the hood of McClain's vehicle. Mangham was injured but able to leave the scene. McClain then left to gather additional members of the University of Alabama football team to provide an intimidating and menacing presence. McClain and the other players allegedly found the plaintiff and without provocation verbally and physically assaulted him. Mangham is seeking at least $75,000 in damages from McClain. In college, there was a game where McClain chimped-out and bumped into a referee, but he wasn't ejected...

Since then, I've always looked at him as a thug and a hothead. Leading up to the draft, the MSMs basic message was... "McClain is black. Patrick Willis is black. They both played in the SEC. Willis was drafted high. Hey, why don't we draft McClain high. He can magically be another Willis."

That sums it up..

I knew that McClain "won" at least one of the College Awards.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butkus_Award

Last two winners' are Aaron Curry in '08 and McClain in '09... both drafted extremely high. Some other recent winners:

'04 - Derrick Johnson (15th Overall Pick)
'05 - Paul Posluszny (34th Overall)
'06 - Patrick Willis (11th Overall)
'07 - James Laurinaitis (35th Overall)

Interesting... We already know "how this works" -- but this is good info for any newbies.

Three of the four blacks have flopped in the NFL, while both Whites were excellent right from the get-go as rookies.

I didn't watch that much Wake Forest when Curry was there, but when his "hype-train was building up to epic proportions".. I was kind of puzzled. I wasn't really thinking one thing or another.

P.S. -- Even if he were to get better while in the NFL, he still wouldn't be worth where he was picked. When he was picked that high, I was stunned. It's kind of reminiscent of Detroit with their Ernie Sims pick. Ridiculous...

Not that anyone is really paying any attention to the Raiders, but yesterday they placed Bruce Gradkowski on injured reserve due to his reinjured shoulder. That means that the immortal Jason Campbell is now the entrenched, unquestioned starter, with hated-by-all-DWFs Kyle Boller as the backup. They also picked up J.T. O'Sullivan as the clip-board holder. Of note though with the Raiders is that Jared Veldheer and Robert Gallery are now anchoring the left side of the line, so at least "Gayson Scambull" has some decent protection on that side. Also Nick Miller, according to depth charts, is only an injury away from seeing significant time on the field.

Trevor Scott was placed on IR a week or two ago. Like Kroy Biermann, he had a disappointing season after flashing star potential last year.

Ricky Brownwas demoted tobackup middle linebacker this year after being an effective starter in '09 on the outside before getting injured. Oakland is coal black on defense now.

I called it sadly amusing at the time. He was a soft, passive player that didn't really stand out in ANY aspect yet by listening to the so called experts? He had the coverage ability of a CB, aggressiveness of Romanowski, hitting ability of a Ray Lewis and the instincts of Mike Singletary all rolled in one. Why according to them he could man the Mike, Will and Sam spots in a 4-3 OR rush the passer as an OLB in the 3-4 OR stuff the run and command the middle in the 3-4. The superprototype he was.

By the same experts who said James Laurinaitis would only sniff success as a WLB in a 4-3 alignment, despite his having the skillset and vesatility to play WLB, MLB or 3-4 ILB. In fact it was almost as if... They accidentally shuffled Laurinaitis scouting reports together with Curry's by mistake and filed them under Aaron Curry.

Amusing enough the EXACT SAME things were proclaimed about Rolando McClain. He was the ULTIMATE linebacker, able to do it all while being a leader and commanding a defense. For some reason they missed on that one as well.

According to reports Tom Cable is expected to be fired after turning the dismal Raiders into a respectable squad when it comes to wins and losses. Al Davis is expected to name Hue Jackson(the guy who has continually failed as an assistant coach throughout the NFL) the new Raiders HC.

Once you bring in a racist black coach you get this.

Head coach Hue Jackson confirmed Tuesday that there's "no question"
Jason Campbell is entrenched as the Raiders' starting quarterback.
<div>
"The guy won some very important games," said Jackson. "The guy played
hurt. The guy got to know his teammates, rallied his team, and finished
very strong." Jackson and owner Al Davis are both Campbell boosters
whereas former coach Tom Cable placed more trust in Bruce Gradkowski.
Campbell won't have competition at the position this summer.
</div>
It looks like Gradkowski will be screwed despite clearly being the better quarterback. I guess having Campbell as a starter will fit the NFL's quota numbers for starting black qb's. At least 20 percent of starting qb' in the NFL have to be black now in days. Some years the number goes a bit higher.

Gradkowski, if not visually impaired has to see the writing on the wall. To to flee the kingdom of affelet/senial enabler, Al Davis, and GTFO of Oakland. And WITF is Hue Jackson???

But of course Campbell can't be expected to learn a complex NFL offense in just one or two seasons. That will be the excuse when he doesn't perform.

It's not good news but announcing a QB in February has no meaning what so ever. There is a lot of football to play. They've handed this clown the keys to the car before, and he promptly wrecked it. This is just off season posturing. They will turn to Gradowski (or whatever white back-up) as soon as they need to. Yeah Oakland has Davis which means there is no common sense behind decisions but it's not sure Davis will last til the summer either.

Black head coaches tend to start black qb's more often than not and the teams tend to be blacker than average. I'm sure Campbell will be the starter at the beginning of next season regardless of what happens in training camp and the preseason. If he struggles really badly, and I'm sure he will, Gradkowski will get another opportunity to be the starter.

The only posturing would be if they're posturing to trade for Vince Young. Let's not forget who we're talking about here, at the top you have Caste Warrior Al Davis with a fetish for black quarterbacks and at head coach you have a guy who apprenticed under open racists Ozzie Newsome in Baltimore and Marvin Lewis in Cincinnati. That's like learning from MLK and Farrakhan in depth. The only way Campbell loses his job is if they find another darkie to replace him with.

Weenieworld (and the rest of the media) was running the exact same blurb last year after the Raiders traded for Campbell, and Gradkowski quickly became the starter. But with Hue Jackson as coach it'smore likely to beaccurate this time around.

That will give the Raiders a whopping four white starters next season. Zach Miller and three offensive linemen. With Jackson as the head coach I'd expect that number to drop and the coal black defense will stay that way for years to come. Pretty pathetic stuff.

I expect Jackson to try and rid the team of "bust" Gallery and draft a sumo to fill his place. Jared Veldheer may lose his job to a sumo project as well. They will keep Miller as he's just too good to replace.

Maybe Ahman Green is also available

:

Raiders re-signed RB Michael Bennett to a one-year, $890,000 contract. We don't see what the Raiders like about Bennett. The 33-year-old to be received just two carries in seven appearances last season, and dating back to 2006 is averaging 3.54 yards per attempt. It would probably be in Oakland's best interest to move on, but perhaps owner Al Davis envisions Bennett as insurance in the event he's unable to re-sign free agent Michael Bush.

What Al Davis likes about Bennett is what speed he used to have. Bennett still claims he can run "4.2s". Perhaps he has Bennett to serve as a mentor to the other black wildlife on the roster, as he's always been a more stable influence. That was his role with the Chiefs, but he was too much of an "Uncle Tom" to enlightened blacks like Larry "smack dem women" Johnson. As for his running abilities, he did have one good year way back with the Vikings, based all on speed in a one-cut offense. Vision has always been Bennett's achilles heal.

I think it's fair to call Bennett yet another black first round bust. He gained 682 yards as a rookie in 2001, followed by his only good year, 1,296 yards in '02. In 8 seasons since he's gained a total of 1,725 yards, a little over 200 yards per year on average, yet is still in the league.

Now, I've met Michael on a few occasions, and can honestly say that he's an articulate, gracious, black-antithesis when it comes to sociality, but you are correct, Don, he is absolutely, positively a bust, based on his draft position and production. But he possesses that magical, blacks-only quality "endless upside" that will not end until he is around the age of Warren Moon.
