Crowder is likely typical of how black players feel, and how free they feel to say anything they want without fear of retribution, either from White players or from the league and the media.

Yes, it's why Rachel Maddow was grasping at straws with her attack on CF. She had no real understanding of the mindset that White athletes encounter all to often.

It looks like Chad Pennington will take over as starting quarterback for the Dolphins. If not for injuries and his weak arm, Pennington would have had almost as good a career as today's best qb's(Manning and Rivers.)

Chad Pennington has been promoted into the Dolphins' starting lineup, replacing Chad Henne.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
Pennington, 34, hasn't attempted a regular season pass since Week 3 of
2009, when he suffered a year-ending right shoulder injury that required
surgery. It was the third throwing-arm operation of Pennington's NFL
career, so it's unclear what kind of arm strength he has left.
Pennington went 0-3 to start last season, and was limited throughout
2010 training camp coming off the injury. The Fins figure to go run
heavy moving forward, perhaps relying more on the Wildcat formation.
There's no way to tell the effect Pennington's promotion will have on
Brandon Marshall, but we can't imagine it's particularly good.

More intriguing offensive line moves, as Pat Mcquistan played for John Jerry as a guard in the game against the Browns, bringing Dolphins up to four white starters on O-line, for at least that game. Then black Vernon Carey went down, and was replaced with Lydon Murtha, so at some point in the game the Dolphins had an all white O-line, and eight white players on field on offense.

Dolphins signed WR Kevin Curtis to a one-year contract.

Curtis has overcome testicular cancer to give his football career another try. He's been out of the league all year after missing all but three games last season because of a knee injury. The knee problems are still Curtis' biggest concern. They were a problem for him in both 2008 and 2009, and it's unclear what's left of his separation skills at age 32.

I wish Kevin the best, but this may create a dilemma. Let's say Curtis has a great couple of games. Will he have a chance at staying next year and possibly cutting into Hartline's playing time? Just something to think about. I hope nothing comes of it.

Great news! I wonder how much playing time he will see. The article mentions he'll most likely take playing time away from the young affletes.

The little baby is misbehaving again. From Rotoworld:

Brandon Marshall expressed frustration with the Dolphins' offense following Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Patriots.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
"It's been that way all year," said he, referring to quarterbacks and
wide receivers "not being on the same page." Marshall threw a tantrum
during the first quarter Sunday, taking out his frustration on Chad
Henne. "We shouldn't be where we're at right now. We're not close to
where we need to be." Marshall finished Week 17 with 97 yards on five
catches. He likely would've hit 100 receptions for fourth straight year
if not for a late-season hamstring injury.

This is too funny. I'm sure this isn't the last we will be hearing from this retard this offseason.

<div ="re">

Brandon Marshall has given up the thought of jumping to the NBA in the event of a lockout next month.
</div>
<div ="impact">
In a stunning upset, Marshall realized he didn't "have it"
after trying to play basketball recently. He will start working out next
week after the Dolphins asked him to take a full month off to
recuperate from a long season.

they are many who think that AJ Edds (IR) will push Crowder for playing time this coming season.

The Dolphins coach shows some respect for Hartline and thinks he can be a deep threat. Weenieworld shuts that down though.

<div ="re">

Coach Tony Sparano recently expressed confidence that
Brian Hartline could fill the offense's need for a deep threat at wide
receiver.

</div>
<div ="impact">
Hartline has shown glimpses of downfield ability the past
two seasons, but he's never going to be the type of play-maker that
draws extra defensive attention away from Brandon Marshall and Davone
Bess. Hartline is going to be a fantasy mediocrity again in 2011.

eh who cares what weenieworld thinks. Good to see the coach has faith in him. Hartline won't let him down. Hartline has gotten over 500 receiving yards his first two years with 15 yards per catch. If he hadn't injured his finger he would have had close to 900 yards. He is progressing well. Marshall declined somewhat last year. Bess is strictly a slot receiver, quick but his longest reception was 29 yards. Hartline is the deep threat and plays well in that role, only a few receivers have more 20+ yard plays than he does with a similar number of receptions. Robert Meachem is considered the deep threat for the Saints and his numbers are almost identical. The difference is Meachem was a 1st round pick and took 3 years to put it together and looks to be at his peak. Hartline was a 4th rounder and is only getting better. Next year will be his 3rd.

The two 4th round steals of that draft, Hartline and Collie. I wonder which teams will be smart enough to get another "steal" in Kris Durham, Jeff Maehl or Dane Sanzenbacher. Hell, If I were the Browns I would trade that first rounder that everyone wants to get AJ Green with, get extra picks in later rounds and pick all 3. You would have a number 1 receiver in Durham who is tall and can stretch the field, a number 2 in Sanzenbacher who is fast enough to stretch the field and can get yards after the catch on the underneath stuff, and Maehl who is really quick and good at getting yards after the catch, almost like a runningback, so put him in the slot. That way instead of having one big name receiver, you could actually win games with 3 guys who are all capable of starting. Plus it would open up things for Hillis. Or they can be like the Lions, get the big name and only have 1 receiver who produces, and lose.

Dolphins Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall
has been stabbed with a knife by a woman and taken to a hospital,
where he has been in intensive care, two league sources told ESPN NFL
Insider Adam Schefter on Saturday morning.

"He's going to be OK," a source close to the situation told Schefter.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6414256

I know the cops have been called to his house for domestic disputes before, with the woman being the victim.

They actually tried to cover it up (Marshall himself and the wife) Said
she threw a vase at him and a piece of the vase struck him in the
stomach. The doctors said there is no way that it was caused by that,
and its consistent with a knife wound.

I wonder what was happening to where she would stab him, but hes willing to bail her out asap. and cover it up.

Lol at the vase comment. This is the same guy who said he slipped on a McDonalds wrapper and his hand went through the television...wonder what happened there.

Maybe they should get Matt Jones to start opposite of Hartline, look at Marshall's record

http://blogs.denverpost.com/broncos/2011/04/23/brandon-marshall-file/7276/

all of that and still gets a chance no matter what, while Jones is sitting at home over one time cocaine possession and a beer on probation. Ryanl Mallet is also getting crap for cocaine, no proof just "rumours". I guess its not okay to experiment with coke when you are young but its okay to be baked every damn day. Its not like those affletes that smoke weed don't do other stuff occasionally. I had a friend who worked at a fancy club in the New Orleans and it was well known Ricky Williams was a cokehead, just never got caught with it, so in the dwfs mind he was just a "pothead" meanwhile Matt Jones is a "crackhead".

It's shocking to see that the modern day NFL has become a bunch of drug dealers, drug users, murderers, rapists, and just plain old thugs. What's even more shocking is that the DWF's pay hundreds of dollars to watch a sport for a few hours and allow their kids to watch a bunch of criminals play.

Players like Marshall and Pacman Jones with rap sheets should be banned from playing in the league. That's the way it is in the real world, you have a background check done on you for a job and if you have a criminal history you almost always don't get the job.
