It looks like Chad Pennington will take over as starting quarterback for the Dolphins. If not for injuries and his weak arm, Pennington would have had almost as good a career as today's best qb's(Manning and Rivers.)

Dolphins signed WR Kevin Curtis to a one-year contract.

Curtis has overcome testicular cancer to give his football career another try. He's been out of the league all year after missing all but three games last season because of a knee injury. The knee problems are still Curtis' biggest concern. They were a problem for him in both 2008 and 2009, and it's unclear what's left of his separation skills at age 32.

eh who cares what weenieworld thinks. Good to see the coach has faith in him. Hartline won't let him down. Hartline has gotten over 500 receiving yards his first two years with 15 yards per catch. If he hadn't injured his finger he would have had close to 900 yards. He is progressing well. Marshall declined somewhat last year. Bess is strictly a slot receiver, quick but his longest reception was 29 yards. Hartline is the deep threat and plays well in that role, only a few receivers have more 20+ yard plays than he does with a similar number of receptions. Robert Meachem is considered the deep threat for the Saints and his numbers are almost identical. The difference is Meachem was a 1st round pick and took 3 years to put it together and looks to be at his peak. Hartline was a 4th rounder and is only getting better. Next year will be his 3rd.

The two 4th round steals of that draft, Hartline and Collie. I wonder which teams will be smart enough to get another "steal" in Kris Durham, Jeff Maehl or Dane Sanzenbacher. Hell, If I were the Browns I would trade that first rounder that everyone wants to get AJ Green with, get extra picks in later rounds and pick all 3. You would have a number 1 receiver in Durham who is tall and can stretch the field, a number 2 in Sanzenbacher who is fast enough to stretch the field and can get yards after the catch on the underneath stuff, and Maehl who is really quick and good at getting yards after the catch, almost like a runningback, so put him in the slot. That way instead of having one big name receiver, you could actually win games with 3 guys who are all capable of starting. Plus it would open up things for Hillis. Or they can be like the Lions, get the big name and only have 1 receiver who produces, and lose.

where he has been in intensive care, two league sources told ESPN NFL

I know the cops have been called to his house for domestic disputes before, with the woman being the victim.

They actually tried to cover it up (Marshall himself and the wife) Said
she threw a vase at him and a piece of the vase struck him in the
stomach. The doctors said there is no way that it was caused by that,
and its consistent with a knife wound.



I wonder what was happening to where she would stab him, but hes willing to bail her out asap. and cover it up.

Ryanl Mallet is also getting crap for cocaine, no proof just "rumours". I guess its not okay to experiment with coke when you are young but its okay to be baked every damn day. Its not like those affletes that smoke weed don't do other stuff occasionally. I had a friend who worked at a fancy club in the New Orleans and it was well known Ricky Williams was a cokehead, just never got caught with it, so in the dwfs mind he was just a "pothead" meanwhile Matt Jones is a "crackhead".

It's shocking to see that the modern day NFL has become a bunch of drug dealers, drug users, murderers, rapists, and just plain old thugs. What's even more shocking is that the DWF's pay hundreds of dollars to watch a sport for a few hours and allow their kids to watch a bunch of criminals play.

Players like Marshall and Pacman Jones with rap sheets should be banned from playing in the league. That's the way it is in the real world, you have a background check done on you for a job and if you have a criminal history you almost always don't get the job.
