Has there ever been a more overrated player than Bob Sanders? A who is never able to stay on the field yet is incredibly hyped year after year as one of the best defenders in the league.

I don't know aboutmore over-rated than Sanders, but Javon Kearse and LaVar Arrington come to mind. Safeties Mike Brown and Ed "Who Me, Tackle?" Reed are two more.Then there are theCBs thatregard tackling as not part of their jobdescription yetnonetheless get endless media love, going back to Deion Sanders andin recent yearsDeangelo Hall and Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie among others. It seems like all a black defensive player has to do is make a flashy play now and then to become a "star."

We've really been missing the boat on this one. We were excited in 2007 when Jason Witten ended a 20 year drought in which no White tight end had gone over 1,000 yards receiving (though thousand yard seasons by black TEs are also pretty rare).

But Clark is on pace to break the records for receptions and yardage by a tight end in a single season. His current numbers equate to 106 catches and 1,360 yards over a full season. The current marks for TEs are 102 catches by Tony Gonzalez and 1,280 yards by Kellen Winslow in 1980. We need to have a Dallas Clark watch going. What a season he's having so far!

at halftime, Peyton Manning is a perfect 12 for 12 for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Jags.

Dallas Clark had a spectacular 6-yard touchdown catch, and Austin Collie scored on a 23-yard reception.

he dropped a pass earlier that resulted in a Manning interception ... but then he came right back and caught a 27-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown. heleft "playmakuh"Reggie Nelson in his wake, bouncing off the "big hitter" and sprinting into the endzone.

At this point in the season Dallas has 87 catches, 973 yards, and 10TD's. I hope he gets some more tonight!

Clark could get the TE reception record and Welker can get the WR reception record. Not bad for being 20% of the league.

The Colts offense has done a good job tonight, but the coal-black defense is pathetic. The announcers were raving about the "speed" of the Colts D. What good is "affleticism" and "speed" if the "speedy affletic" player is out of position and can't tackle? I guess that I'm "old-fashioned" and just want a bunch of "slow" white guys who are where they are supposed to be, tackle and make plays.

Except with our population advantage there are just as much or more fast white d-backs who are better at tackling, reading the qb, and overall playing defense effectively. So even the speed hypothesis is BS. Look at all international sports like rugby, weightlifting, soccer, tennis, bobsledding, mma, boxing, and every other event but the 100m dash (steroids btw). Whites are by far the better athletes in every one, despite there not being an even playing field, especially in the sprints (US and Jamaica cheat if you haven't put that together yet). Even the few whites in the NFL perform disproportionally better than their 20% pop of the NFL should predict. Maybe this is to keep white viewers watching with the illusion that there are still whites and that the negroes are the majority because they are the most athletic, but it is clearly just because even the caste system cannot hold back white athleticism, because it is so vastly superior to negroes. If Paul Krause or Bambi played in the NFL today, they would be the best players in the league.

the Colts defense looked dreadful.
fortunately, they have the Surgeon General on the other side of the ball. over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns through the air for Manning. Clark had 95 yards and 2 touchdowns on 7 catches. Collie chipped in with 3 catches for 27 yards and a score.

as an aside, how pathetic was the effort by Jags' safety Reggie Nelson? he is a BIG zero in my book.

as an aside, how pathetic was the effort by Jags' safety Reggie Nelson? he is a BIG zero in my book.

Nelson's candy-assed non-tackle of Dallas Clark was terrible, but his non-attempt to tackle Reggie Wayne on the game winning pass was beyond inexcusable. He made what may have been a lame attempt to punch the ball out, but he could have easily tackled Wayne simply by leaving his feet and wrapping his arms around him. Disgraceful, and grist for the mill for the game fixing theorists.
