This was exactly why I brought up this topic on game night. Unfortunately, this staged proposal has become a permanent part of one of the greatest football games ever. Every time I see highlights or read about the game this indecent proposal is shown or mentioned.

Of all places, Idaho? (96% white, 0.6% black, 13% mixed)

Yeah, I mentioned this already, but the media did this on purpose. They just couldn't let Whitey enjoy his victory in peace, without ruining our day with some "jungle fever". Now, every time I see the words "Boise State", this is the image that will enter my mind first. Thanks again ESPN. You blow.

Holy cow!

I'm getting more than a thousand hits per hour right now, the vast majority of them finding this post directly from searches for "chrissy popadics," the Boise State cheerleader who is now Ian Johnson's fiancee. Insane! At this rate, I'll get my 2 millionth hit in the next few hours.

As noted earlier, I'm #1 on Yahoo for that particular search. This is by far the biggest traffic boost I've ever gotten from a particular search-engine trend (as opposed to a link from another website or a mention on TV).

UPDATE: The future Mr. and Mrs. Johnson are the top "movers" among search terms on Yahoo, so I guess it's not surprising that I'm getting such a ridiculous amount of traffic from being the #1 site for Chrissy's name on Yahoo. But still, wow. 9,926 hits yesterday. That's my seventh-biggest non-Katrina-related traffic day ever... and all because of a bunch of search-engine hits! Remarkable.

lol..You guys are going to love this one. Well, I was carousing through my local paper this morning (The Star Ledger), and on the front friggin page was a pic of the happy couple, followed up with an article on their engagement. Now, here's the kicker. Does anyone want to take a guess as to WHY this article was on the FRONT page on MY local NEW JERSEY newspaper? Because, apparently Ms. Popadic is originally from NJ, and moved out west when she was younger. Figures. Not only has she disgraced my race, but also my home state. lol.
I'll post the link to the article when I find it, but for now, you'll all just have to take my word for it.

Explain to me why it's the end of the world that someone like Ian Johnson, who from all appearances acts in a very white manner and is even very light skinned is engaged to the white cheerleader.

The guy can't change that he was born with a drop of African blood, but he can change how he acts. From what I've seen, he's made the right choices and is not someone like Terrell Owens or any one of the Bengals players that's been arrested this year.Edited by: Sark6354201

I would say the problem most of us have with it, besides the obvious, is the media setting this up from the start and making a national story out of it.

It might have been more enjoyable, in retrospect, had BSU lost in overtime.

If you really have to ask why, you surely wouldn't appreciate the answers some of us would give.

I might not appreciate the answer, but that doesn't mean I don't want to hear it.

If your opposition to the union has a legitimate basis then I don't see why there is any problem in explaining it. I'm fairly open minded, and as evidenced by my posting on these boards I'm far from pro-black or anything. My primary focus on the racial aspects in society is sports however, and in viewing this thread I haven't seen anyone actually explain WHY they feel so strongly about the soon to be married couple.

The article said she is from Pompton Plains.

Pompton Plains is one of the wealthier areas in NJ. It is also one of the whitest.

It was also nice to know that the Broncos best defensive player that game was a kid from NJ.

GWTJ,

I have some friends in that town, as well as the surrounding towns of Butler, Pequannock and West Milford. She looks like your typical Pompton Plains girl that you'd see at Applebee's on route 23 in Butler on a Saturday night. Its a shame that she opted to go "that way" with her life. The Boise victory still feels like more of a "loss" because of that unsightly display of affection national T.V.

GWTJ, are you from North or South Jersey?Edited by: Ground Fighter

With respect, I think your question seems so ridiculous to posters on Castefootball it is difficult to engage in the debate.

Look at the picture again of Ian Johnson. The White Mother or Father that created this man with a black spouse have just killed their family line!

Some call it race-replacement or genocide. I could go on and on about behavioural differences, physical differences etc etc but if this doesn't work for you("can't believe you lying eyes") I don't know what will.

Here is an interesting question for you if you are ok with Miscegenation black/white because obviously you are thinking of it from the perspective that only a small percentage of whites and black create these offspring.

If you are ok with Miscegenation, would it be ok for for everyone to do it?

Well, if it's so ridiculous why isn't a straight answer easy to reply with? You can't convince someone you are right without answering them.

As far as my views on miscegenation, I believe in exceptions. Just because 29 of 30 black guys might have terrible morals, speech, and decision making does not mean the one guy who has made the right choices should be condemned. Ian Johnson is the exception in more ways than one in this case.

Suffice to say, I don't wish for this to spiral into a dizzying array of arguments with no end in sight. But with so many posts in this Boise State thread focusing on the abomination that is percieved to be the marriage of Ian and the cheerleader, I, as I mentioned previously, simply want a reason why some of you are so against it.

plain and simple mixed race=no more white people, and it don"t matter if your white or black most people like their decendants to look like them first act like them second.Ian Johnson not sure he"s half white his mother looks black and his father looked mixed on his site.I"am not prejudice to blacks i have black people who are better friends to me than a lot of whites, but i rather my grandchildren to look like me first and act out then have them be mixed and act white.

How about we all stay on topic to what this thread is made for and that is talking about Boise State football. Who gives a flying you know what about Ian's gay ass wedding. Let's praise the positives like Boise freakin State actually beating historic powerhouse Oklahoma in a BCS match up. Also my new favorite college player in Boise safety Marty Tadman. He has some bad ass tattos.

Sark, you say you simply want a reason why we are against it. Here is your answer, we are PROUD WHITE MEN. We care about our race and its future. We care about how whites as a whole are treated in this world.

Everyday we see the same global agenda of eliminating the white race from existence. It appears in government decisions and lawmaking. It appears in corporate policy making. It appears in the public school system and universities. It appears in the media as we watch ourselves get emasculated relentlessly by women and minorities on TV and in the movies. And it appears in the sportsworld. The culture that promotes the white male inferiority myth is a steamrolling machine that won't be satisfied until all white males are eliminated.

We at Castefootball are speaking out against it. The shameless proposal set up by Fox that attempted to glamorize inter-racial marriage offended us. The networks have teamed up to promote this couple as the All-American couple. Any white male that doesn't get ticked off at this is not a PROUD WHITE MAN. Sorry Sark, but 1 out of 30 is 1 too many.

Ground Fighter, I actually live in Central Jersey, not to far from the Woodbridge mall. Are you still groundfighting(rolling) in NJ? I used to train with Craig Kukuk and then David Adiv(now teaching in Basking Ridge). I haven't rolled in a while but am considering getting back into it with my son. Edited by: GWTJ

Here it is again as well as what A-Train said..

that is the answer. Now do you understand or is it ok for some family lines to be wiped out and not others?

If you really want to start exploring more evolutionary and , hence, political manifestations of this behaviour and the subjugation of white men you might want to start here and read through some articles. It could open your eyes

Based only on what Ian had to say after the game about Boise State, I would say he is a fine young man and if the rest of his life is consistent with what he presented in that short 2 minutes I would be happy to have him in my family.

Wow GWTJ! That's a great reply. It really sums up how I feel about it. Look. I don't suppose to make decisions for people. Adults can do what they want. But if someone asks how I feel about it then why lie? It disturbs me. Almost all men are disturbed at the sight of a man of another race with a woman from their race. If you have to have it explained to you then I guess you just don't feel that way. If that is the case then I guess there is no explaining it to you.

Fair enough.

Like I said, I don't want to go into an endless debate, and I think the responses my query have generated have satisfied my curiousity.
