Andriuskevicius and Aleksandrov seem like very
interesting prospects. And very young. These 18
and 19 year old Europeans may think twice about
entering the draft after what's happened with Darko
during his first two seasons. I almost wish that
these prospects don't get picked in the first two or
three picks, so they don't get scrutinized as much. It
would have been very hard to put Darko in a tougher
situation than what he's been placed in: second
overall, ahead of Anthony and Wade, on a good
team, and coached by Larry Brown. Compare that to
the easy time that Chris Kaman has had, after being
picked just four picks lower. On the other hand, we
definitely want them picked in the first round,
especially early in the first round (maybe 5-15), so
that teams will have a financial incentive to work with
them.
