What is going to kill Richard's career is not the racial insults, but the fact that he seemed to have just fallen apart.
I couldn't disagree more. Many comedians, singers, entertainers and public speakers have been heckled and lost composure. It happens. Losing ones cool in a momentary melt down is not a career killer...using the "N" word is. It is sacrosanct. Only blacks can use the word, often in the most insulting and demeaning ways imaginable, but whites simply cannot. If the words m***a f***a and n****r were suddenlyremoved from the English language, blacks would lose a major chunk of their vocabulary.
I personally hate this double standard. It is just another form of the Caste System used to keep us disempowered.Recently we witnessed a black politician, Harold Ford Sr. refer to a white - HECKLER - as a CRACKER! Where was the outrage? We'd rather sit idly by and piss in our pants than stand up for ourselves. Oh, that's okay Mr. Ford, we understand your frustrations.
Nobody cares when blacks mock and insult us.It is as common as dirt to hear the words white trash, redneck, hill billy, trailer park trash, honkey and cracker used by every racial group. All those words put together don't have the impact of the -N- word, you say. Why? Because we have allowed it. We have sanctified athe -N- word. Hell, blacks have gotten away with murdering white people by claiming they heard the -N - word uttered. How ridiculous!
It burns me up that blacks use the word all day long in every situation, then feign outrage when they hear it from a white man, claiming it brings back memories of chains and cotton fields.
