    NFL 2013-14 Playoff thread

Ahhh. Green Bay! I tuned in precisely at the moment Kuhn scored a touchdown and the commentators were remarking that the audience loves to chant "Kuhn, Kuhn, Kuhn." I mean the spelling is different but is there something freudian going on here? Sorry bad joke(Or?). Of course the...

Ditto. You're only as good as you play.

    NFL Week 15

The hometown PI calling is ruining the game. It's getting like basketball. So subjective. Are they going to "let 'em play" or call it by the book. Makes the end of these close games really stupid. Miss when the Patriots blew out opponents and these things never mattered.

Vitali Klitschko - " Boxing champ turns opposition leader in Ukraine"

This is the one fight I am rooting for him to lose. The heartless internationalists would love to make him a martyr for democracy. And certainly we don't hope that happens for every reason. If it does, however, they'll regret all those millions they didn't spend on promoting him stateside...

Vitali Klitschko - " Boxing champ turns opposition leader in Ukraine"

And notice this is the only time he gets real press in the west. American articles have to explain that he is one of the world heavyweight boxing champions because otherwise how would they know? He's kissing the ring to get the fame he already deserved. It is certainly depressing. Hope the...

    Eric Weddle in the NFL

I am not sure if he pushed him up but he definitely got a hand on him and pushed him away (maybe also up). The optical effect of the defender staggering Weddle's progress makes it seems like a mario bros double jump. Like Weddle's hitting a secondary rocket booster three quarters the way up...

    NFL Week 14

Nice run by Gerhart. That's not a penelty letting a white boy run the ball like that? Isn't it code-worded something like ineligible ball carrier downfield? Haha.

    NFL Week 14

Tell me about. I am worried about the Pats eking out these victories against bad to mediocre opponents (though they have also eked them out against the Broncos and the Saints). I keep hoping that if they come into the playoffs with lower expectations, the pressure will be off and they can do...

    Or Amendola and Edelman.

    NFL Week 14

Refing was a joke but I'll take it. Pats are looking shaky at best though.

    NFL Week 14

Yeah but much less time. The 15 yard penalty Edelman drew in the end zone ahead of the kick off was also a fortunate call which could have easily been a non-call. It looked like Edelman alerted the refs to it.

    NFL Week 14

Pats deserved to lose that one. Ugly. Not feeling great about play offs. Though at least they are getting experience in close games (against sh*t opponents).

PI was a gift call. Payback for the non-call on Gronk against Carolina. Pats looked like garbage. Wow. Still got it though. On sides recovery was good.

    2013 New England Patriots

It was doom and gloom around here when Welker was traded. However my suspicion was then that the Pats would remain a relatively white friendly team. After all, they have the best coach in football.

    2012-2013 Minnesota Timberwolves

Rome wasn't built in a day. So maybe we will have to look at this team with tempered short term expectations. I just hope they don't break it up before they have a chance to succeed. It's always a race against the clock.

    2013 NFL Week 13

I have to say I don't love seeing the Patriots struggle this much against the Texans. Nevertheless... Edelman is looking great. A pair of uber-DWF radio hosts in bean town has been very grudgingly admitting his ability referring to him as a "nice piece". A recent quote: "But no one can tell...

    2012-2013 Minnesota Timberwolves

So far they are not very good and they don't really have injuries to blame. Bench strength could improve but... At this rate they are making caste thinkers happy even if there are a few blacker teams that are worse). Pretty soon it'll be determined the Love needs more "defence, speed and...

    2013 NFL Season Week 12

Bottom line: Peyton has problem's in big games (esp. against Brady/Belichick and co.) It's a psychological block. He's a statistical monster and on paper may be the best to have played the game but Eli is a much better big-game quarterback than he is and, obviously, has no fear of the...

    2013 NFL Season Week 12

Don't know how it will go tonight but Brady typically has Manning's number. Brady has choked some big playoff games in the last eight years or so but usually it is Manning doing the choking when they play against one another.

They looked abysmal in the first half. Hopefully they keep it going. Edelman. Gronk. Starting to come alive.

Exactly. He could have if he wasn't being wrestled to the ground by Keuchly. The guy is an incredible athlete but that was a cowardly play on Gronk. Of course, it's the refs job to call it.

    Richie Incognito

Here's a good summary: "Hey white kids, here are some good guidelines for getting along with people who are jealous of you, despise you, will only accept a relationship in which you are a grinning, acquiescent inferior and who have political interests that are directly hostile to your own. O...
