    Fast white athletes

That is exactly the point of castefootball. There many very talented white high school football players with tremendous speed and athletic ability who are simply not recruited to Division 1 football programs. There are many all state WRs, RBs, and DBs that don't get a shot. As for...

    Fast white athletes

Here is a list of high school football players that ran a sub 4.40 second 40 at the Nike Camps last year. Notice how many didn't get an offer from a Division 1 school. Fastest White High School Players Also, a lot of really fast football players end up playing baseball. Aaron Luna (all...

    RB - Sam McGuffie

Because of his size, I think that Gerhart was easily slotted to the fullback position by the colleges and few people would question it. Smith and McGuffie are smaller and it would be difficult for the coaches to slot them to a caste position. I don't underestimate the power of Youtube to...

    RB - Sam McGuffie

At the RB spot, I would say yes. Tre Smith is probably close, but I don't think that he got 13+ Division 1 offers. In Texas, Aaron Luna was a top prospect at RB a couple of years ago, but decided to play baseball and lost his football offers because of it. Other than that, I am not aware of...

    RB - Sam McGuffie

McGuffie says he has narrowed his list of college choices down to thirteen schools. He has gotten so many offers that he can't keep track of them. Sam McGuffie on Rivals Thank God for Youtube. This kid would not be as well known if it wasn't for all of his video clips on Youtube...

    Draft Day 2007

Sepulveda was one of the top LBs in Texas in high school and a track standout. His older brother was a LB for Baylor and Daniel walked on (surprised?) as a LB at Baylor to follow in his brother's footsteps. The coaches saw how well he could punt, so they immediately moved him to punter. No...

    RB - Sam McGuffie

Pretty good analysis, but I wouldn't throw A&M or OSU out of the mix yet. Cy-Fair High School is just down the road from my neighborhood and there is a strong Aggie presence here. It is only an hour away from College Station and the majority of Sam's classmates will go to college there. Also...

    Draft Day 2007

After their great combine workouts, I can't believe no team has selected Tim Shaw or Brian Robison yet.

    Draft Day 2007

Anthony Gonzales goes to the Colts. With Manning at QB, Gonzales will get plenty of receptions. The ESPN commentators kept saying he will play in the slot for the Colts. I don't believe that. It is hard for the Colts to justify a first round pick on a slot receiver.

    Sabatino Piscitelli Jr.

According to NFL.com, he ran a 4.43 at his pro day. Not 4.3, but damn fast!

    Andy Brodell

Andy is fast and everything, but he is missing that "wiggle" or "hip flexibility" or "breakaway speed" that is needed by NFL receivers. Just kidding, awesome video. I liked the run where he runs by Aaron Ross and Michael Griffin (both first round prospects) like they have concrete shoes on.

    Trey Griffin

Trey is still running for Texas. I figured that he used up all of his eligibility by now. He placed 7th in the 100m at the Miami Hurricane Relays with a 10.78 and 6th at last weekend's Texas Invitational with a 10.87. Not impressive times, but it is the early in the outdoor season and at...

    Craig Pickering

Andre Cason is closer to 5'-6", he is a little guy. There a lot of sub-6' elite sprinters out there, but many are probably on the juice.

    Pride

I'm waiting for the hollywood movie about a powerhouse white high school football program such as Southlake Carroll. They could show the games against the all black high schools where the white players are insulted throughout the game by the opponents players and fans, then the white team wins...

That is the ultimate Sam highlight reel. Amazing.

    NFL Pro Days

That time really surprises me. I know he ran a 4.37 40 last off season for some pro scouts.

Pats to sign Welker to offer sheet

Having watched Welker throughout his college career, he is not a speed burner. He is very good at making people miss, and has quick moves to get to the open field, where he has enough speed to make a big play. He sure had enough skill to burn Texas A&M a few times.

    RB - Sam McGuffie

One thing to note is that he has never competed in the high jump in the past. I am sure that he is capable of jumping higher, but he only competed in one meet this season in the high jump, which he won at 6'-4". Maybe if he was against better competition, he would have gone higher.

    RB - Sam McGuffie

McGuffie is tearing it up on the track like he did on the gridiron. He has long jumped 23'-5" (3rd best in the state), high jumped 6'-4", and ran a 14.67 in the 110h (7th best in the state) and it is still early in the track season. He will make some noise at the state meet this year.

    NFL Combine 2007

Interesting that Weddle had the same 40 time and other measureables as Aaron Ross, the Thorpe winner and a projected first round pick at CB. I didn't hear anyone say Ross isn't fast enough to play CB in the NFL.

    QB/CB - Brock Fitzhenry

Yes, he is in the class of 2008 They recruited him as an "athlete".

    QB/CB - Brock Fitzhenry

Brock has given a verbal commitment to University of Texas. I am glad he got an offer from a big time program. Good luck Brock, we'll be watching you.

    Eric Weddle - CB

I think if he runs in the 4.45 second range he will be considered a legitimate corner. Not to hijack the thread, but there is an interesting post on DraftDaddy about John Wendling. He is projected to run under 4.4 at 220 lbs.

    Brian Leonard 23

That photo is from the Rivals.com Houston Junior Day at Rice University. It is basically an informal seminar for recruits to learn about the recruiting process and they take measurements like height, weight, etc., so his attire is appropriate for the event.
