    Showing PC-ness The Red Card

A fine article, one of the best posted on this site. I like Liddell's writing style--cool-headed, articulate, but not totally concealing the passionate conviction which underlies it.

    Ryder Cup

Best American margin of victory in 27 years! I'm hoping this victory increases the confidence of vets like Jim Furyk,Azinger, --and Hunter Mahan--he was awesome. Ryder cup can be far more pressure packed than the non-team tournaments. So this is a great sign.

    Toni Kornholer

I agree guest301, Seinfeld is a funny show. It also had the good sense to make fun of itself and the characters on it. And it was never (or rarely) PC ---unlike "Murphy Brown" or other shows from that era.

    Mussina: 16 straight seasons

Yes, and he has two more starts left. It will be an amazing feat if at 39 years old, he gets 20 wins this year (it will be his first 20 win season, though he has come close many times). I'll be rooting and praying for him.

    Vince Young

Whitlock is completely wrong, of course, about the treatment of McNabb--who has been and will always be a favorite of the football media. I posted the article just to give him some credit for having seen that there was no way Vince Young was going to make it in the NFL.

    McCain overtakes Obama

This is a fine column, Don, and makes an excellent case for avoiding McCain. Jared, I think the article is not by Lew Rockwell himself, but by one of the contributors to his site. McCain jokes: "Bomb, Bomb, bomb iran", and globalist BS like "We are all Georgians now" (and he ain't talkin'...

My initial feeling is that it's "over the top." But I'll have to read it more. Didn't it once have a german helmet logo, or was that another site? I have also heard that it's filled with "plants." Don't know whether that's true. I guess I look upon "my people and its life" as more of a...

    NFL Week 2 2008

I saw it, absolutely hilarious, one of the worst instances of black "struttin' and celebratin'". If only the ref had been alert enough to spot the no TD/fumble live and the cowboys had recovered it, then the jab at celebratin' would have been even more sharp.

    The Greatest Danger from Obama

I want to make it clear that I consider the "hold your nose and vote for McCain" view a respectable one. I distinguish this view from enthusiastic support for McCain.

    The Greatest Danger from Obama

Shogun, I realize that you're not a fan of McCain, and I appreciate your questions and the dilemmas which you raise. My mentioning of Putin's Christianity was a dig at those who think that Bush and McCain's aggressiveness against Russia somehow represents a "noble Christian" stand against...

    Vince Young

Credit where credit is due. Black sports columnist Jason Whitlock predicted Young would be a bust, and here he makes some good points. --------------------------- Sad to say, but Young's problems were predictable by Jason Whitlock Updated: September 11, 2008, 3:39 PM EST add this...

    The Greatest Danger from Obama

Shogun, as a Catholic Christian, fighting abortion means a lot to me and definitely influences my vote. But I hope that my approach to the pro-life issues is a comprehensive one. And I also respect the Constitution and states' rights. I also believe that the constitution can be peacefully...

    McCain overtakes Obama

Anyway all that's required to impeach someone is: "high crimes and misdemeanors"--not "lies"---which are difficult to prove since you must get into a person's head and show that the person knew or believed there was little evidence of WMD, etc. since war is so awful, the burden of proof is on...

    McCain overtakes Obama

Kukulcan: Bart already answered this question in part: if there are impeachment hearings against Bush about "being lied into a war," the Democrats themselves would look bad, since they were very gung ho for the war. they will look like the idiots who were duped by the Administrations...

    McCain overtakes Obama

89Glory--there was a reason for Reagan to put up a bold front in the 80's---Russia was a communist nation then. Moreover, nterventionism was prudent and limited--see Grenada. But once Reagan saw the possibility for reform in the Soviet Union, he abandoned the stupid ideology that says the...

McCain will win...politically Palin was a brilliant choice. no question. 89Glory--I disagree--but where is that allegedly insightful comment from? I would like to read it in its entirety. Vdare? I too hope that McCain will either convert to paleo-conservatism or croak (in a state of...

    The Greatest Danger from Obama

Some people sometimes forget that our cause often flourishes better when its in opposition than when it is in power. When the bad guys win the presidency it galvanizes the opposition, sharpens distinctions, look at the Clinton presidency...it moved Republicans to defeat Hilary's...

McCain picks Sarah Palin as running mate

She seems to be (at least mostly) a genuine paleo-con (despite the fact that she made the ritual obediential visit to AIPAC, escorted by the sinister opportunist and neo-con ideologue Joe Lieberman). Leaving aside her excellent speech---let us never forget one thing-- Despite her virtues...
