Donnie Iris has died at the age of 83. He toured for some 60 years, right up until his passing. Ah Leah was his biggest hit, one of the best songs of the early 1980s and one that is still often played by radio stations that play classic rock. RIP
 
I don't know if they would play this song nowadays, but it's a blast. Robert Palmer looked like he weighed 100 lbs; Elkie was a great performer. Vinger Joe with Proud to Be a Honky Woman with Elkie Brooks, 1973 ya'll.
