Since 2007, San Jose State has started 6, 3, 6, 6, 6, 7, 10, 9, 4, 7, 6, 8, 10, 8, 6, 6, 3, 4 and 4 White athletes. In 2026 they are projected to start 5.

Players to look out for are RB Tyler Jacklich, WR Cooper Hoch, LB Dylan Less, S Hunter Nowell

Offense
QB Luke Weaver
TE Ryan Boultwood
C Nathan Balestrieri

Defense
LB Brady Van Bennekum
S Pierce Walker

Cooper Hoch appears to be a clear starter at wideout (I assume at the X). Freshman Jase Nix appears to be the backup slot. He had a couple catches and a TD week 2. This team’s offense should be one to keep an eye on.

Edit to add: more on Nix.
  • Two-time SD CIE champion in the 100-meter and one-time SD CIE champion in the 200-meter event
  • Named track and field rookie of the year
  • Also named First Team All-CIE every year in track
  • Holds the San Marcos (CA) school record in the 100 meters with a time of 10.68 and the school record in the 200 meters with a time of 21.71
A 10.68 would be in the 4.35-4.45 range (according to AI).

Glad to see Hoch and Nix emerge! Weaver has also had a good start to the season at QB.

There is alot of truth to @Heralded_Defender and his valid criticism of the Ourlads depth charts which seem to favor blacks in pretty much every case.
