"No White will ever run sub 10."

Blacky on suicide watch now.
As long as track and field pays semi pro money you will always have the problem of Western athletes dropping out of the sport unless they secure 6 figure sponsorship deals.I remember hearing all of those things as do most of us here on this message board. The Klitschko's help to change perceptions
about white heavyweight boxers. In the same way Christophe Lemaitre changed views in track in the sprints.
We have had many white heavyweight champions along with all the other weight categories.
What I've always wanted and always believed is that a white sprinter can win a gold medal in the Olympics or World Championships!
This is now possible with 2 of our guys. Let's hope many more follow in their footsteps. Seeing the comments from certain fans online
including hate videos makes me laugh at the jealousy they show and how fragile their egos are.
I believe that Lachlan Kennedy can go in the 9.60's range eventually. The world record is 9.58. Can you imagine if a white sprinter
broke the world record as the fastest man in the world? The kid is only 22 and has only been in athletics for 5 years. He played Rugby
and luckily was spotted flying all over the field. We lost so many of our best athletes to others sports & to the business world.
Finished 3rd and just sneaked into the final. But Lachie has stated that he isn't really invested in the 200. His talent, body type and focus is on 60 and 100. But you never know, still hoping for a surprise tomorrow.Lachlan Kennedy runs his semifinal heat of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in a new p.b. of 20.12! Hoping for a sub 20 in the finals.
yep, I though of a song by Yvonne Fair way back ... "it should've been me".I wonder what Rohan Browning thinks?
It was supposed to be him, running sub-10s and winning medals.
I just hope he can raise himself to that level once more. After Tokyo we and he expected much. He got back to 10.01 briefly in 2025 but he's turning 29 on 31st December ... how much inner drive will he have left. Hopefully enough to train for the Worlds in 2027, but LA '28 ??I would think Browning is pissed off and a wee bit jealous. I am sure he will go even harder in his training if he doesn't retire. Personally I think he can go sub 10 but he wont break 9.90.
Kennedy will be really zapped by relay time. I'd rather he was fresher for that.
Law and Murphy both disappointed and I doubt Law will be in the relay
you're right of course, but he's fairly compact and he runs our relay lead off leg from all and any lane.Lachlan gets lane 1 for the 200 final. It's hard to do well from that lane.
This is from AI:
The fastest 200-meter dash time ever achieved by a runner in lane 1 is 20.04 seconds, set by American sprinter Coby Miller on July 1, 2003, in Lausanne. [1, 2]
Because the inside lane (lane 1) requires runners to navigate the tightest, most acute curve on the track, it is generally considered the most difficult lane to run in. As a result, elite sprinters rarely get placed in lane 1 in high-level competitions (such as the Olympics or World Championships), making Coby Miller's 20.04-second mark a standout track and field record for that specific lane
here's your post from just 2.5 months ago W/L.Lachlan Kennedy is having one of the greatest seasons of any white sprinter in the history of track and field.
His first 4 races this year have been as consistant as any world class sprinter could be.
10.00
9.96
9.96
10.01
This 22 year old Aussie runs 10 seconds like a jog in the park. The records are waiting to be broken in the right race. It's just
a matter of time as long as he remains healthy. He has run sub 10's in Africa and Australia whiile just missing today in China.
So with or without the wind & even in the cold Lachie can run with any sprinter on any continent. A true superstar of the 100 Meters!
The main questions is can he join the medal stand at the World Champs or Olympics? Also how fast can he go? We must be patient
and get your popcorn ready as everytime Kennedy runs it's instant fireworks on the track!
more of W/L's prophecy. For once we see a season starting to wind up soon and we see no disappointments here.I already predicted 9.80's and he is close. He will break Patrick Johnson 9.93 record in the semi finals or finals. I truely believe that. If
he had a tiny wind today he would have equaled or beat it already.
The bigger prediction for me is that Lachie will go anywhere from 20.10 - 20.15 in the 200 meters. I believe he has sub 20 ability. I don't think he will do it this weekend though because of the number of races. I want to see him join Lemaitre, Guliyev and Matthew Boling as the only white sprinters in the sub 10 and sub 20 Club!
I’m a few days late but congrats to Lachlan! It’s amazing to find out he’s a type 1 diabetic too. His mental fortitude is elite and clearly won’t let anything stop him.
2026. The year of the White Sprinter.
