Since 2009 the Duke Blue devils have started 7, 9, 10, 7, 7, 11, 10, 6, 6, 5, 4, 6, 7, 4, 6, 6, and 8 white athletes. In 2026 they will improve and start 11!
Unfortunately, WR Cooper Barkate, a 2025 Second Team All-ACC selection has transferred to Miami for his final year of eligibility. Oh well, maybe that will give him more exposure and possibly be drafted.
The offense will be led by QB Walker Eget GR/TR, a San Jose St. transfer. Jeremiah Hasley will start at TE along with the rest of the OL. Giving them 7 white starters.
The defense will be led by long time Duke LB 6'3, 235lb. Nick Morris. Morris was injured in the 4th game in 2025 and did not return. Also look out for DT Owen Wafle a Penn State/Michigan transfer!
On a side note, I noticed Duke seems to recruit well up in Pennsylvania. Maybe one day they'll sign some white running backs from that area?

Offense-
QB-Walker Eget-GR/TR
TE-Jeremiah Hasley-RS/SR
LT-Nick Del Grande-GR/TR
LG-Jorden Larsen-RS ST/TR
C-Matt Craycraft-RS SR
RG-Bradley Smith-RS SO
RT-Braden Miller-GR/TR

Back up-
WR-Paxon Kettering-RS/SO

Defense-
DT-Owen Wafle-RS/SO-TR
DE-Kevin O'Connor-RS/JR
LB-Luke Mergott-RS/JR
LB-Nick Morris-GR

Back up-
S-Andrew Pellicciotta-SO

Surprise move in the right direction! Eget is a question mark just because he was throwing to Scudero last year. RS Freshman QB Dan Mahan is one to look out for as well.

Barkate going to Miami was the best business decision for him and I want him to do well in what looks like a promising year for our guys at WR throughout the country.

Wafle seemed like a solid, underrated prospect out of high school. It's hard to play early on a Big Ten d-line. Looks like Duke had more snaps to offer than Michigan and Penn State (his previous two teams). He's probably a little small for the NFL interior at 6'2 295 lbs but has a few years now to build up some film.

I love DTs at that size! They can still move and make plays in run game and pass rushing! I hate sumos! Fat **** DTs getting subbed out every 2 snaps is not pleasing to watch imo!

Wow, go Duke! Tying their high water mark since we’ve been tracking. Could have been 12 if Barkate didn’t transfer.
