It wasn't too long ago that we were cheering on Filiipe Tortu in these kinds of races, how times have changed.
He was .04 from first, tied for 3rd but beaten by 1000ths. Amy Hunt ran a disappointing 5th 22.48, Prandini 6th 22.68. Sarah Mitton Canada 3rd in shotput. Mark English won the mens 800m in a MR time of 1:43.84.Lachlan 10.01 for fifth in China today
his first race was actually his 10.03 in cold, rainy melbourne. None had any wind to speak of ... so a very honrst sub 10 average this yearLachlan Kennedy is having one of the greatest seasons of any white sprinter in the history of track and field.
His first 4 races this year have been as consistant as any world class sprinter could be.

This 22 year old Aussie runs 10 seconds like a jog in the park. The records are waiting to be broken in the right race. It's just
a matter of time as long as he remains healthy. He has run sub 10's in Africa and Australia whiile just missing today in China.
So with or without the wind & even in the cold Lachie can run with any sprinter on any continent. A true superstar of the 100 Meters!
The main questions is can he join the medal stand at the World Champs or Olympics? Also how fast can he go? We must be patient
and get your popcorn ready as everytime Kennedy runs it's instant fireworks on the track!
Kennedy will have to go sub 9.90 to make the final and go low 9.8 or faster to win gold. He will need to have the races of his life to do this at the Olympics. If he goes sub 9.9 this summer he has a chance summer of 2027.
