2026 Track Results

Kalen Walker - 6.56 (third)
Victoria Cameron 7.15 (third)

Both did better in the pre-lims.

both got third with performances quite a bit slower than in the Prelims...seems to be a trend these days.

At the 2026 NCAA Indoor National Championships we saw another great result from Gatlin Blairs older brother!

Peyton Blair successfully defended his title in the heptathlon, smashing his PB with a world-leading 6503, elevating him to sixth on world all-time list. He led from the outset and had a series that included PBs in the long jump (7.70m), shot put (16.07m), pole vault (5.07m) and 1000m (2:39.54).

You forgot his best event.
Peyton set a collegiate record in the heptathlon 60m, running 6.67!

At the world indoor 60 our best performance was put up by Simon VERHERSTRAETEN at 6.53 in the first round. He got a 6.56 in the second around and made the final, but did not start in the final for some reason.

14 letter last name? That’s amazing. Great time, as well.

He was a DNF not DNS.
He pulled up after just a few steps after the start.

Cunningham 7.35 in semis, choked abit in the final and finished 3rd in 7.43. Race was won by Polish hurdler in 7.40, Spanish guy second. Swoboda 5th in 60m final in 7.07, Hunt did not make the final. Van der werken last I believe.

Brilliant Hodgkinson wins first world title in championship record

Hodgkinson could have won by a lot more and much quicker but why go that hard when you easily won the race right from the start.

On March 27th-28th of 2026 in Australia we will have a 2 day track meet. Lachlan Kennedy will race over the 100 & 200 meters. He goes against Gout over the 200 meters. Hope he can break his 200 meters p.b. from last year in the same race he defeated him in.

Be interesting to see Kennedy race Gout. Gout opened his season with a personal best 10 flat in the 100 but ran rather pedestrian times a few weeks later with 100m times in the 10.2’s and 200m times of 20.42 and 20.59. I think Kennedy is the more explosive sprinter but will have trouble matching Gouts top end speed as they continue on with their careers.

The Mens 100 Meters is gonna have some fireworks in Melbourne, Australia. Very excited to see what kinds of times that
Kennedy, Browing, Law and Whelpton throw down?

it's certainly a great field of sprinters (with NZ visitor Tian Whelpton having a legal 10.10 already this year) but, as I always do, I've checked weather conditions (In Sydney our late Indian summer turned wintry yesterday with rain, wind and the lowest morning temperature for 6 months) at around 10C (50F).

Rain is predicted for Melbourne with winds at the time of racing to be from the side at up to 10-12 Knots (ie 20kph), and temperatures around 16C and described as "feeling like" 14C (<60F).
It's so often the case when we get a good field together. So unfortunately 10.20 might be a good time tonight :(
Let's hope things change in the next 12 hours

Too bad about the poor weather. I was interested to see what Alexander Colgan, the 21-year-old redhead from Melbourne, would do on his home turf. He's already run a windy 10.01 this year. He also has several good wind legal times during the last two years. He certainly seems like an outstanding young Australian prospect. Perhaps, Mastermulti could tell us more about him.

well, it is a 10.20s night there in Melbourne ... but I just watched the race and taped it. Kennedy ran well ahead of the 10.20s men tonight. Browning 2nd in 10.25 with no wind. Kennedy 10.03 ... magnificent return to track. Jack Hale furthers his decline

200m in Melbourne, absolute downpour as they waited before starting the race.
It was a -0.7mps race and very cold and wet - but as per last year Lachlan Kennedy held on for a win
