2025 NFL Week 17

What a joke. Interception reversed on “illegal hands to the face.” So subjective, because if it wasn’t called, we would never have seen the replay. Even with the replay, it’s tore lot subjective. Now, Purdy scores; and a random ref is responsible for 7 points.

Seems like whenever a white player is going for a record they never call plays to get them the ball. Mccaffrey needs receptions, and he's been thrown to only a couple times so far. When Cooper Kupp was within a whisker of breaking the single season receiving yards record, they used him as a blocker and a decoy in the final game.

I’ve noticed this as well. Hard to believe Shanahan would deliberately avoid something for Christian as he has known him since he was a child and has leaned on him immensely.

But it does pose a question. The media has been clamoring for Christian to make it, which is somewhat surprising.

Bills beaten due to a missed extra point. Had they not done that, there was no need to go for two.

One could argue the decision to go for 2 was dumb (it was) but the Bills’ coach is a clown so we sort of expected that.

It’s good to see McCaffrey putting on a show in a nationally televised high stakes game. If he can crack 900 yards passing tonight, maybe 920-925, he’ll have a legit shot to get 1000 next week.

Also good that the 49ers have an explosive offense to keep them in a game where defense is optional.

Seems like no defense is to be played tonight. Oh well. Throw to CMC, Shanahan! It's quite funny that when we need him to receive, he casually has his best rushing game without Williams and Kittle on the field.

Wiow, this game was just as good as the Rams-Seahawks game a couple of weeks ago! Should be one heck of a game next Sunday for the #1 seed in the NFC.

Exciting game to watch. Glad the 49ers won. If they beat Seattle next week, they secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs and host Super Bowl.

I remain skeptical given how there is no pass rush, but the maligned line seems to be coming together at last. CMC is like a machine. Pearsall being on the field opens the playbook up as a deep threat.

49ers win! Defense optional game

Crazy Game and very exciting even though it was like flag football with the optional defensive guys on both teams!

This season is the year the Niners just have to get over the hump. Not just get to the Super Bowl but win it!

Game stats:

Niners
Purdy 24/33 for 303 yards passing and 3 TDs
He also had 28 yards rushing and 2 TDs
McCaffrey 140 yards rushing and a TD
He also had 41 yards receiving
Pearsall had 85 yards receiving
Tonges had 60 yards receiving
Juice had 14 yards receiving and a TD

Bears
Loveland had 94 yards receiving and a TD
Kmet had 16 and Smythe had 11 yards receiving

Now, here's a guy that likes memes... (Collinsworth being teased for his obsession with Mahomes, seems like he is so what self aware - "don't bet on it".

NFL on reddit link to a clip - Sorry for the social network link, didn't find this clip elsewhere.

Did you catch the question posed to CMC about Purdy’s “sneaky athleticism?” He sort of laughed and said he isn’t sneaky, just athletic.

THAT type of response is what everyone needs to have when the caste-coded language meant to disparage whites is used.

No doubt McCaffrey has been told countless times how he is less athletic than the multitude of nameless blacks he has dominated across the years. He knows it is false.

Brock Purdy is so impressive the way he's been playing. The 49ers offense is a pleasure to watch, much like the Patriots teams for a number of years. I guess one can say San Fran sort of "copied" what New England did but I don't expect any teams to "copy" the 49ers. Players like Kittle, McCaffrey and Juice will start aging out soon and we'll begin reminiscing about their offense of the past few years.

My first reaction to the Bears is that their arc will follow Washington's from last season to this one as both are long-established bottom-feeding Caste plantations, but the wild card is Ben Johnson, who appears to be a few cuts above the standard Caste Clown head coach. He's probably closer to McVay, Shanahan, Payton, Campbell, O'Connell and Sirianni than the large number of interchangeable corporate yes men running most teams.

The Bears had 5 White starters introduced on offense last night, 3 on the line along with tight ends Kmet and Loveland (who looks even better than Tyler Warren), so maybe as with Seattle the Bears will become less odious demographically in coming seasons.

Bears immediately improved the OL by going majority snowplow.
