Didn't realize a bowl game was played yesterday.

Boise St vs Washington - Boise St got blown out. Not much to report it looks like. 5 INTs thrown between Madsen and Cutforth.

it seems that the market has become over saturated … what does this bode for the future?

at least two teams with losing records are playing in bowl games this year (Mississippi St and Rice, both at 5-7), and many others will potentially have a losing record after their bowl game, as there are numerous teams playing who are 6-6.

surely this can’t continue, can it?

Every team that gets to 6 wins has had a bowl spot for a number of years, so that's nothing new. Teams opting out of games and screwing over their seniors is a relatively new phenomenon. The playoff system now at 12 teams has really devalued the bowl games. It's been happening since the inception, but now if you're not one of the 12 (sounds Messianic?) you're nothing. Plus I don't remember having bowl games starting on the Army-Navy game day. I guess the bowl organizers are desperate for airtime spots.

One would have to think that all of these sponsors willing to shell out money will eventually dry up. There were too many bowl games to begin with but the transfer portal and biased playoff committee are really accelerating the demise. No 5 win team deserves a bowl invitation. This year Notre Dame, Kansas State and Iowa State all declined bowl invites.

Troy vs Jacksonville State playing tonight.
Yes Indeed! Salute to Veteran's BOWL

ODU defeats South Florida. With Colton Joseph hitting the portal freshman QB Quinn Henicle led the Monarchs to victory. His passing wasn't up to par but he ran for 107 yards and 2 TDs. Certainly one to watch out for in the future. LB Jason Henderson medically retiring early in the season was one of the disappointments for me this season but Colton Joseph at least emerged from a black ODU team to national prominence and should be a P4 starter next year.

In the 68 Ventures Bowl (what a name) Delaware and it's QB Nick Minicucci (5th in the nation in passing yards) are up on Louisiana playing a QB with the first named Lunch.

Not a bowl game, but the D2 championship is Saturday. Ferris State has some great white athletes put in creative spots on offense -- Wyatt Bower, Carson Gulker, Brady Rose.

yes, sir! their opponent, Harding University, also features a trio of White athletes on offense.

they have the nation’s top rushing attack (over 6,500 yards rushing this season!). “somehow” this has happened despite their top 3 runners being of an overachieving variety. Andrew Miller is the bell cow, and he has rushed for 27 touchdowns and nearly 2,000 yards this season. meanwhile Braden Jay is the home run speedster with nearly 1,500 yards and 22 touchdowns on the ground, while averaging over 12 yards-per-carry! quarterback Cole Keylon operates the option attack, and has almost 900 yards on the ground, as well.

should be a fun matchup!

Western Michigan might hang 70 on Kennesaw State today!

I knew Kennesaw State=pretenders.
As much as we have criticized the MAC, how weak is C-USA letting them stack up 10 wins this year?!
