Since 2006 the Yellow Jackets have started 7, 5, 6, 3, 7, 6, 4, 6, 5, 4, 7, 9, 8, 5, 4, 4, 4, 5 and 6 whites. 8 this year.

Snow plow OL but precious few back ups. Good numbers but not a ton of depth and all at caste positions. Haynes King is an athletic dual threat. Still probably one of the teams worth rooting for in the ACC.

I remember DT Jordan Van den Berg was a native of South Africa. I remember him as depth at Penn State. Good to see him shining here. And what an impressive bloodline.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa and moved with his family to the Atlanta metro area when he was 10 years old … Played rugby in his native South Africa … One of five brothers … Grandfather, Francois van den Berg, competed and placed in the Universe Competition, South Africa’s national championship for bodybuilding … Grandmother, Joan Rocci, was a swimmer who represented South Africa in the 1958 Commonwealth Games and held multiple national records

Offense -
QB - Haynes King
TE - Brett Seither or Luke Harpring or J.T. Byrne
LT - Ethan Mackenny
LG - Joe Fusile
OC - Harrison Moore
RG - Keylan Rutleage
RT - William Reed *in a battle for position

Defense -
DT - Jordan van den Berg

Two deep back ups include QB Aaron Philo, WR Bailey Stockton, RT Jameson Riggs.

Hopefully King has a healthy season as he is one of the best dual threats in the country when healthy.

I guess there are no more Keith Brookings for the Yellow Jackets to recruit so it's all black slop on defense.

Definitely tough enough to be a RB! How do you project him position wise next level @Leonardfan ?

Hard to say. Lots of called running plays in the Ga Tech offense but he's an explosive runner and in the open field really shows a burst. He shows the ability to be an outside WR with his physical talent. This might be frowned upon but being a Taysom Hill type player wouldn't be the worst thing. Maybe Sean Payton has his eyes on King. Remember he was the one that was enamored with Hill and actually utilized him in New Orleans.

He could absolutely be an NFL QB as well. 3 Year starter along with playing time at Texas A&M. I have no doubts of his QB ability but of course the NFL has an agenda.

Interesting prospect no doubt about it. Smaller Taysom Hill isn’t a bad comparison.
