The Wild Card round is starting today. The Phillies and Cubs are the top rooting interests for us. The Cubs are starting 8/9 Whites today (along with Seiya Suzuki - Japenese). They also have a 4/5 White rotation (along with Shota Imanaga - Japanese). Their only non-White pitcher in the bullpen is closer Daniel Palencia who has had a solid season from the looks of it. The Phillies got a bye and will play starting on Thursday. The Phillies are viewed as on of the favorites to make it to the World Series. It would be so cool to see them win it after getting so close in 2022.

Yeah, "Guardians" is the lamest lame name that could possibly be concocted. It's even worse than the "Commanders", at least being Washington DC it makes a modicum of sense. I actively root against this Cleveland team no matter who they play. They once had the great Chief Wahoo as their mascot.
 
Tough game for the Phillies, hopefully they bounce back in game 2. If they had Wheeler I would like their chances better but they can still take the series
 
I’m so sick of the Phillies being a high powered offense, then various guys getting dinged up and show up to the playoffs rusty.
 
Blue Jays beat the Yankees 5-2, win the series 3-1, and advance to the ALCS, which is their first such appearance since 2016. Great game from infielder Ernie Clement, who batted .643 and scored 2 runs.
