It’s not just Mahomes. Defenders are leery of quitting QBs period. But when scrambling he is no longer QB and just ball carrier with some Romanowskis or Harrison’s would light up QBs.

As an aside, 9 of the 16 starting QBs in the early games are of the high melanin variety. Yuck!
 
Skattebo with first NFL catch. Sort screen but breaks 2 tackles and takes a 3rd to bring him down. Next play a run up the middle for no gain. No where to go. Announcers saying people are going to love how tough he is.
 
Henry and Hooper both catching targets already from Maye looks like a lot of 2 TE sets for the Pats. Easy drop by Douglas with Chism inactive healthy scratch. If Douglas keeps this up will see Chism in there soon enough.
 
Maye to Douglas for the TD, after I criticised him Maye goes back to him in the end zone. Offense will be so much better this year with McDaniels calling it. Protection looks so much better Will Campbell looking as advertised top player.
