Doing fine, don't have a generator, probably should look into one when the same kind of storm blew through here at this time last year. I lost power for two days that time. There's usually at least one ice storm each winter that produces the same result.
With this most recent one, I lost power for over two days, it came back on for a day and then went off again for another day (it was only sprinkling out the second time it went out, no lightning or wind in the area), so I did without electricity altogether for over three days.
In all the years I've lived in this area we never previously had thunderstorms like the ones we experienced the past two years. This most recent one knocked down thousands and thousands of trees, including a lot that fell on houses and cars. It had the force of an F1 tornado except that the storm system was 50 miles wide! All the damage was done in a matter of seconds. The local "authorities" are talking about solutions but with trees everywhere there are none other than moving power lines underground and that would take centuries the way things move around here, where the simplest road construction projects drag on forever.
