Leed Smool from the San Diego area is one to watch. He runs the 100m, 200m, and 400m, and is in the top 10 in all events in California.

Also Zoe Cilliers won both the U20 100m and 200m races. Her times were 11.62 and 23.94. She reminds me of Christian Lemaitre.

Here's one for you . . . Marko Ferreira, 19 yrs old of South Africa, ran a 10.09s (-0.6w) in the 100m semi-finals at the ASA Age Group Championships in Germiston. He later won the final in 10.16. His 10.09 is the fastest U20 in Africa, and 2nd fastest in the world at the moment.

Another noteworthy performance from the South Africa Age Group Championships . . . U18 Enrique Bosch won the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 12.92. That makes him the 3rd fastest U18 110h hurdler in history!

Braelyn Baker, former HS star, and now a sophomore at Duke, ran an NCAA leading 50.80 400m over the weekend. It may also be a US leading outdoor time...not sure.

You forgot his best event. Peyton set a collegiate record in the heptathlon 60m, running 6.67!

In the heats, Jones ran an all-conditions high school record of 13.01 (6,2w) in the boys 110m hurdles. He is definitely a star in the making.

Jones won the 110m hurdles at the Bluebonnet Invitational today in a windy (2.8w) 13.11. He also won the 300m hurdles in a PB of 34.94. I believe that is the 2nd fastest HS time ever, behind Vance Nilsson, who set the record of 34.83 in 2024, and is currently at the University of Florida.

Jakob Szymanski runs an =WL time of 7.37 in Berlin, 60m hurdles.
