Miller's chances may have improved somewhat with the foot injury to Shillens. He might miss around a month, which would carry into the start of the regular season.

Unfortunatly, some bad news for Nick in that he fumbled his last punt return, allowing the niners to run out the clock at the end of the game.

Check out the video on the side of the link Leonardfan provided. That was a nice grab!

Nick ran a couple of sub-4.3 40s at BYU's Pro Day this past spring, which is apparently what caught the Raiders' attention. also, he was his conference's special teams Player of the Year in 2008,when he led the nation (FCS) in all-purpose yards and broke his own school records for kickreturn yardage.

you can read more about him here. hopefully, after looking so impressive during camp and the preseason he won't suffer the same fate as most White players during the coming Purge.

Raiders cut two black WR's today, and Nick's main competitor to be kickoff returner, CB Justin Miller, has turf toe. I'm still not too optimistic about him, since this is the Raiders and he is white, but I'd say he has a slim chance to make the team.

Watching fast, affletic blacks makes Al Davis feel young again, really gets his juices flowing, better than Viagra.

I've got a chance to watch the last couple of oakland's games on the t.v. for the sole purpose of watching Nick Miller return kicks. It's not all too tedious a task either because Oakland gives up a TD every few minutes so Miller is always getting another crack at it, and my god, this kid is EXPLOSIVE! He's a blast to watch and is quickly becoming one of my favorite players in the league. He routinely takes kicks back 30+ yards and constantly uses nifty moves and breakaway speed to make his opponents look ridiculous. If Oakland doesn't make him they're starting kick and punt returner then they're idiots, if they do he'll be one of the best in the league this year, guaranteed.

Nick has been training in Arizona with two of the best in NFL, Jennings and Fitzgerald. He's very optimistic and let us hope he will get to hone his skills and shine this season!!!
