What do you guys make of Singletary sending TE Vernon Davis off the field after a penalty in the fourth? I don't know what to think, but it seems awfully unconventional for a black coach...

PhillyBirds,

That was what I call the Gil Hodges move. Hodges actually went out to left field and took Cleon Jones out of a Mets game. This is comparable. But in the long run, Singletary won't get the results that Hodges did. Blacks today don't have it in them to learn longterm from something like that. At some point, they will turn on him just like they would if it was a white coach that did that. Very different era from when Hodges did it.

I haven't see that yet, but what a bust Vernon Davis has been. After he ran a 4.4 at the Combine and did a lot of bench press reps, he was hyped as the Next Great Thing and drafted in the first round. But as is the norm, he hasn't gotten nearly the criticism that a white TE who flopped like he has would. In two and a half seasons he has a total of 88/970. Even in Mike Martz's offense he has but 16 catches this year so far.

As black supremacists can't comprehend, or are unwilling to admit, it takes a lot more than straight line speed to be a good football player. And even if whites are on average a slight bit slower than blacks in straight line speed, they certainly aren't lacking in any of the other skills and traits it takes to compete. And even if they are slightly slower on average, the much larger pool of white football players compensates for it -- if whites would be developed at the "speed" positions beginning at a young age the way blacks are.Edited by: Don Wassall

Yeah take a look at this pathetic caste write up of the worst draft picks of all time. They have Matt Jones at a whooping #6 already ahead of higher drafted Troy Williamson from the same year and don't have Vernon Davis. Just pathetic! And they have Kicker Janikowski and Tim Couch ahead of Akili Smith. I might make this it's own thread too in the NFL forum!

Plus Matt Jones is a converted WR, meaning that he should be given four years to evaluate his draft status instead of the usual three. Matt Jones is making that idiot that wrote that look stupid this year! A racist self-loathing white, it's nothing new.

Yeah, Vernon Davis is not only a bust...he's not even considered average.

His receiving totals are beyond pedestrian, especially considering that they desperately try to get him involved.

His supposed speed and size and strength have gotten him nowhere....while young white TEs like Owen Daniels and Tony Scheffler are running circles around black defenses and putting up WR-like numbers.

On ESPN's postgame show actually talked about how players do not fear coaches anymore. They make all their money up front and know that the owners want them on the field. Davis was awarded $15 million up front money. What incentive do these guys have to play at all after that, if they're only in it for the money? Unless it's costing them a game check, what difference does it make?

I appreciated what Singletary had to say. He said that he wants a team with players who want to win. It's team first, and if they can't get with the program he doesn't want them on his team.

We'll see.

I wish the white coaches had the guts to tell these thugs/ pre-madonnas to hit the showers, we're better off without you too.
