I'd imagine both DePalma and Tanner are going to have to have huge preseasons if they want to make their teams. Tanner was fantastic last year but then got hurt. If he stayed healthy, he might have had a chance. He'll have to do the same or even better, because has dwid said the Saints have brought in all types of black bums to compete.

Hopefully David Douglas turns in a strong preseason. If I recall last preseason he played pretty well.

this is what I don't understand about dwfs not recognizing White talent in preseason. Most will admit that a majority of teams use basic vanilla schemes on offense and defense in preseason, its mostly just to see where the players stand when it comes to talent. Talent vs talent, no team is being outcoached really, except a few bottom feeders wanting momentum. White players do well every year. Its not due to some magical scheme like they always claim White players excel due to, its vanilla in preseason, no complex schemes, they do well with talent alone. There is no doubt that they would excel in the regular season ,when the scheming gets more complex. Yes many aren't playing against the "first team", but neither are many of the affletes that they drool about when it comes to upside.

Brandon Kaufman with the nice 29 yard catch for the Bills...as he finally gets an opportunity to play in the 3rd quarter...

Chris Hogan has been standing out in camp for the Bills...

As called for by icsept in another thread, Jeff Maehl traded to the Eagles. Good side of this is he will likely have a better shot of making the Eagles than the Texans, bad part is it makes it that much harder for Nick Miller to make the Eagles.

First we have bigunreal successfully jinxing Tiger Woods, now icsept is apparently able to demand better landing spots for White football players.

Philly under his old college coach is the best place Maehl could have gone. If he doesn't make the Eagles with their weak receivers after Jackson and Cooper, his chances of playing as a receiver in the NFL are finished.

I hope Maehl makes the team. He could be a solid WR, he didn't get much of a chance in Houston as the black GM has been drafting mediocre black wrs the past two seasons.

This is great news for Maehl. Chip Kelly certainly hasn't forgotten who he is. He was virtually the entire receiving corps for the Ducks during his junior and senior years. He almost single-handedly gave the Ducks a chance to win in their national championship game loss.

Assuming that his confidence hasn't been ground to powder, say like what happened to Bobby Carpenter, he should be able to shine.

According to New York Daily News article, Ryan Spadola looks "more and more secure" in terms of his chances of making the Jets. Also saw a projection for the Eagles that has Maehl making the team but the writer admitted it was just a hunch. Yahoo sports termed Chad Hall on the 49ers the "surprise of the summer" but my guess is either he or Collie, not both, has a chance of making the team.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but both Josh Cooper and Griff Whalen were both cut. Cooper I can understand because he was probably only on the roster because he's good friends with Brandon Weeden. Now that Weeden's not starting, goodbye whitey. Whalen on the other hand has been fantastic whenever he's been given extended playing time and he's close to Andrew Luck. I'm sure the Colts will look to stash him on the practice squad but I still think this is a bad (and race appeasing) move.

Jaguar, Jeremy Ebert, continued his weekly cut / practice squad / sign for game-day transaction. Can anyone imagine a black player being ridiculed like this every week? After cutting penciled-in starter Jordan Shipley before week 1 for no apparent reason, the Jaguars are as odious as the good majority of NFL squads.

On Monday three white WR's were cut, Ebert, Cooper and Whalen, but two are signed today Collie and Ebert who came back even quicker than his usual Saturday resigning.

Its really quite bull**** that everyone on the Jags sucks yet Ebert is one of the only players on the roster to be signed/cut every week..
