2026 CFL season

Butler began the game 5 for 11 or whatever it was then it seemed the coaches came to their sense and Horvath became the guy. The next game will be very telling…

Holy cow! Great to see Zander Horvath put together a great CFL campaign! I thought he was a goner to the Caste memory hole.

I thought he was done for as well. Even with all his recent success, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they gave 20 carries to the black rb next week.

Horvath is truly a talented running back. Should have been more heavily featured in college and NFL teams shot themselves in the foot not playing him. He is playing as well as anyone in the CFL the last few weeks.

with all the talk on this thread about the resurgence (finally getting an opportunity) of Horvath, it shouldn’t be overlooked that Travis Theis (who has been mentioned) was named an offensive player of the month for July. he totaled 61 carries for 435 rushing yards (109.8), while showcasing big play ability with 12 rushes for over 10 yards and another three over 20 yards during the month.

it’s nice to see young players persevering and overcoming the obstacle course that is the Caste System.

Horvath is also 6th overall in rushing with 418 yds, they(CFL] have Theis 3rd overall with 700 yds

If AJ Ouellette wasn’t hurt after 4 games, there could have been 3 White RBs in the top 7-10 players.

In Montreal vs BC Lions game Horvath had a moderate performance but also interesting was that both Montreal running backs were white, Talbot and Theis. So basically outside of the one carry by the black BC running back it was whites on both sides of the ball.

Excellent! More White RBs are slowly breaking through in the CFL, NFL and college.

Horvath busts a long run, out runs the defence for the TD and it is called back for holding. Changed the whole momentum of the game. He was also stopped twice on 3rd and a yard. Gotta say Montreal's QB is a fiery competitor!

Horvath scored 3 TDs in a revwnge win over Montreal. He is now (19 TDs) apparently only 4 TDs short of a record with 5 games to go.

Incredible! Just a backup afterthought to potential all-time great. That’s why CF exists to point out this insane anti-White bias.

In the past his season would guarantee him at least a veteran minimum contract to play in the NFL but he has been labelled a blocking back at the NFL level so I don't know what this will get him beyond a possible non guaranteed flyer deal which in reality would be a practice squad job after training camp breaks.

Yes even in the desperate CFL they only viewed him as a 2nd and 3rd string type player which is a total joke...

FT, I think you would've had the very unlikely "hat trick": 3 White, 1,000 yard rushers. CFL only has 9 teams. Therefore, 3 in the CFL would be the equivalent to 11 White, 1,000 yard rushers in a single NFL season.

The last time there were two White, 1,000 yard rushers in the same NFL season was 1978. That's a far cry from 11 in a single season!

Kind of a good news; bad news scenario, I suppose? Liam Talbot, a native Canadian rookie (non-import), got to have his fantasy night -- 5 carries, 19 yards and 1 TD. These native (White) Canadian RB's almost never touch the ball, except garbage time!

Bad news, Theis was injured and his injury could cost him a 1,000 yard season. More bad news, even with Theis out, Talbot went back to the deepest depths of the bench last weekend, far behind (at least) 2 black RB imports.

So, Oullette has no chance at 1,000 yards, as he's basically missed the entire season. Theis' possibilities are diminishing ... Horvath should get there.

I think Horvath could be inching towards "star status" in the CFL, particularly if he exceeds 1,000 yards (likely) and breaks the all time TD record. But what does that get him financially? Oullette was the highest paid CFL RB coming into the season and his salary was about $157,000.

That's far less than a rookie would make on an NFL practice squad. CFL's #2 overall pick is currently on the Raiders practice squad and he's making more than Horvath will see any time soon, even if Zander's deemed a CFL superstar?

The NFL/Caste system didn't only steal Zander's childhood fantasy of being an entrenched NFL player, but it (they?) stole life-changing, millions upon millions of dollars from him and his extended family!:smilie-devil:

The 23-year-old (Niklas Henning) can earn $247,500 if he remains on the practice squad for the entire season, $13,750 per week. If the Raiders promote him up to the active roster, he could earn $52,058.83 per game.

The six-foot-six, 308-pound blocker was selected second overall in the 2026 CFL Draft. He was picked by the Toronto Argonauts, who own his CFL rights in perpetuity.
