If Strickland can't stop Hazmat's takedowns, there won't be much of a fight. Strickland has better wrestling than Du Plessis but will it be enough. If Strickland is focused on defending Hamzat's take downs, will it make him tentative with his striking?

It's worth noting that Dricus du Plessis actually picked Strickland to win the belt against Khamzat, Strickland may get taken down but he is very strong. I thought after the second round it was going to lead to a snowballing finish but Khamzat got a second win, and Sean seems to mostly go for the finish against gassed opponents.

They have history, which is why Sean could work Khamzat up so easily in the build up.

Strickland wins wow, the boogieman got dethroned.

Nice wins for Volkov and Brady.
Yes Chemiev had the look of a possible long reigning champion. Once Strickland stuffed his takedown attempts the worm had turned in the fight but the Chechen found a second wind and tried to beat Strickland at his one game and that wasn't going to happen.

With such a close fight a rematch seems inevitable.
