There was a split between the IFSA and World Strongman contest groups[sad to say]. So there will be two contests for the Strongest Man in the World. The IFSA World Championship was won by Zydrunas Savickas a 6'3 350 Lithuanian. He has won the Arnold Strongest Man Contest 3 years in a row. Vasyl Virastyuk from the Ukriane came in 2nd. Vasyl won the WSM contest last year. The thing that is so messed up is that now we may not get the head to head competition from all the strong men at one contest. I believe people want one Champ who beats the best to be the best. Same with boxing, one Champ per weight class not 3 or 4.
Savickas is a very powerful man. Lithuanians can produce strong men as well as the best basketball players in the world!!
