Saw some of the "boxing"- if you can call it that- on the Best Damn Sports Show Period last night and it was awful. Clearly this show has found their golden boys in Andre Ward and Audley Harrison (and their bad boy in James Toney I guess.) Of course their promoters are throwing terrible competition their way- unskilled runts who both quit on the stool. This is why boxing is going down the drain. For a "combat sport" it's so safe and conservative. Everyone's too afraid of getting beat. I can understand Ware because he's just starting out. There's a lot of money on the line so they have to make sure that he doesn't lose for a while (especially after getting rocked in his first fight.) But I believe Harrison has been around for a few years. It's just pitiful. Let's see these guys against some real competition before showering them with this nauseating love fest. The Best Damn Sports Show is just a pitiful sight all around. Big time Caste System aficionados.
