I played a fair amount of poker in my teens and twenties, but little since. It's a great game, lots of skill involved, and now it has become extremely popular by way of Texas Hold 'Em. It's an interesting phenomenon, reminiscent of fantasy football in that there are now at least 10 million serious players. On-lineTexas Hold 'Emis a huge and booming (off-shore) industry.

Almost all poker players are working and middle class white males and that's unlikely to change soon though there's a fair amount of non-whites at the elite professional level.

I'll admit to watching the World Poker Tour on the Travel Channel on occasion. It's pretty good theater if you're knowledgeable about the "sport."
