My honest opinion of both Wladimir and Vitali is that they would have been highly competitive and legitimate belt threats in any era of modern professional boxing, however because people (and Americans in particular) are so prone toward mistaking brashness, egotism, smack-talking and poor sportsmanship (and all the aforementioned not necessarily mated with ring ability) with actual skill, neither Klitschko will be seen as particularly exciting compared to, say, Cassius Clay.
Though, truth be told, if Ali tried to pull some kind of dancing crap with Vitali, Clay/Ali would be in the hospital recuperating from a bruised ego and a broken face.
