I am a veteran.I like this site would like to see it expand to radio and television.I want to ask you all a question.Should white males boycott the military?We join and go to combat.We see Boost programs to put non-whites in as officers.We are not recruited by major colleges for football or basketball.I pick up a pamphlet from any branch of the military and see one token white male the rest are non-white.Why don't I see 11 white players on any college defense in football,but most of the combat death in Iraq are white?Let me know what you men think.Are we getting the shaft?We are the backbone of the U.S Armed Forces but I don't see much gratitude.Let me close with these facts:Those killed in Iraq 1,031 White-165 Hispanic and 159 Black.Maybe we should reconsider the military.But share your thoughts on this.

Well gary, the same can be said of Southern soldiers, who make up the lions share of soldiers in our military. It has been this way for a long time. I would like to see equality in the armed forces though. Special minority programs should be discarded too. Just ask white soldiers in Vietnam how most of their Affirmative Action black Sargeants acted in battle.
Ask Mr. L.D. Smith Sr. of Shelby,Mississippi about the black soldiers in Vietnam, who killed his son just for wearing a Mississippi Flag patch on his uniform. They were supposed to be his friends. The point is that as minorities take hold in the military, morale suffers, discipline breaks down, and their is a general refusal to fight on behalf of those soldiers.
I don't know if a boycott is necessary or not, but something should be done to correct the situation.

White people are still living in the past when America was a white country and stood for those wonderful things that are long gone. Many of the young men still believe that kind of America exists (in some of their small towns it sort of does) so they join the military out of an old fashioned sense of patriotism.
Unfortunately they are fighting for a new world order kind of agenda that is usually the opposite of what they believe in. Minorities on the other hand only join to get out of the troubled existence they are in.

I don't think white's should boycott the military. Wouldn't it bother you the sameway as not seeing any whites in sports? In the big scheme of things the military is far more important than any college or pro sports team.They all deserve are upmost respect, and they're the true hero's not these athletes.
I think history tell us not to surrender our army. One of the reason the Romans fell was because they letVisigoths be integrated with their army. That proved crucial in the fall of Rome among other things. I just see boycotting the military just starting a bigger problem.

I agree with Beararms.If you boycott,then you are
opening up a even bigger can of worms.That would almost
be as bad as never seeing any more white police officers.
Imagine how bad it could get.Alot of these people have
a vendetta and revenge on their minds.Having whites
balances it out somewhat.I do think that fewer whites
should be in special forces or on the front lines.

There was an AP article yesterday about how the military's recruiting numbers are way down, especially among females and minorities, so maybe the trend is being reversed naturally. Unfortunately the voluntary army has been transformed into a model of "diversity," "multiculturalism," and feminism. A lot of girls and non-whites joined more for those reasons and for training for skills that could be used in civilian occupations than to fight in multiple wars.
The U.S. went a long time after Vietnam without engaging troops in foreign wars; the dirty work was done almost exclusively from bombing from 18,000 feet. I'm totally opposed to the foreign policy of Bush and the neo-cons, but the (at least slight) trend towards a whiter military may turn out to be a positive side-effect.

I think it was wrong to let women in the military academies.Wrong to have programs designed to put non-whites in as officers who simply were not officer material.I know a young male who wanted to get into Air Force ROTC,he had a very good ACT score and did very well on the ASVAB,but they had enough white males and needed women and non-whites so lesser folk took his place.I see recruiters hang around the all white high school like bees around honey trying to get the guys to join but we had 3 good football players here and they are never contacted by the big name colleges. If white males are tough enough to be Marines,Rangers,Seals and Green Berets then they are tough enough to be given a chance to play big time college football.GIVE THEM A CHANCE!!!!
That's very well put Gary. The Special Forces are as fit as they come, and everything I've ever seen on their fitness contests has always been an all-white affair. The Special Forces themselves are overwhelmingly white as "affirmative action" there can be disastrous, just as with airplane pilots and other vital occupations. There's never any controversy about the elite forces in the military being overwhelmingly white and for obvious reasons, but whites are incapable of being good enough to earn a scholarship to play most positions in I-A football????
Glenn Davis died today.He was one of the best RUNNING BACKS of all time.I wonder if he was a young man today if he could even get into West Point?Would he get a chance to carry the ball for Army?To lower the standards at the military schools to get more non-whites as officers we have weakened the nation's defense.Every women who goes to one of the academies,knock's out a potential Glenn Davis,Doc Blanchard,Roger Staubach,Joe Bellino.Not to mention Robert E Lee,Douglas MacArthur,George Patton,Dwight Eisenhower,etc. One month without white males and the U.S Military would be unable to defend the U.S.

recruits is down 41 percent since 2000. So if whites
boycott we won't even have an army.

It seems that there were complaints (not sure who) that the American forces shown had "too many white males." These units have always been overwhelmingly white, one of the few places were white menare still welcome.The Green Berets require language and technical skills. Many people in this country absolutely LOATHE the idea of white men as heroic figures. There were, I recall, even remarks that the NYFD was "too white."
Mr. Bush has made it easier for foreigners to enlist in the military. He wants to fill up Army and Marine infantry units with Latino mercenaries, so as to avoid a draft. Also, he and the neocons can then say that "they are doing jobs Americans won't do."

I believe people in general have boycotted the military, because they feel as if we, the United States, have become the world police. We have stretched our military so far, that if someone attacked our home soil we couldn't defend it with the millitary personell we have.
Not only that, the military should be guarding the border with Mexico as its most important duty right now. We're maintaining a military presence in well over 100 countries and fighting "pre-emptive" wars of aggression, and in the meantime anyone or any thing can cross over the border from Mexico into the U.S. Tell me again what "Homeland Security" and the permanent "War on Terrorism" are supposedly about. . .

I agree Don, we should be guarding the Southern border. Our priorities should be Language, Borders, and Culture!
Pull the troops out of Germany and station them on the Mexican border.Leave troops in South Korea.End all Boost programs.No gays in the military.No women in combat or on combat ships.No coed boot camp.Have an all-white division in all branches to boost morale.Since we let blacks serve with whites in the military.We had a draw in Korea,a loss in Vietnam,backed down from the Russians in Hungary in 1956 and "fight"against camel jockeys in the middle east.You want young whites to serve restore the pride there grandfathers had in WW2!
