Preliminary card

Bantamweight bout: Renan Barão vs. Chris Cariaso
Barão defeated Cariaso via submission (rear naked choke) at 3:47 of round 1.

Lightweight bout: Ricardo Lamas vs. Yuri Alcantara
Alcantara defeated Lamas via KO (punches) at 3:26 of round 1.

Lightweight bout: Danny Castillo vs. Will Kerr

Bantamweight bout: Eddie Wineland vs. Ken Stone
Wineland defeated Stone via KO (slam) at 2:11 of round 1.

Bantamweight bout: Brad Pickett vs. (mestizo) Ivan Menjivar
Pickett defeated Menjivar via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Roller defeated Varner via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:55 of round 1.

Lightweight bout: (chinaman) Zhang Tie Quan vs. Danny Downes
Downes defeated Zhang via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28).

Lightweight bout: Bart Palaszewski vs. Kamal Shalorus
(persian) Shalorus defeated Palaszewski via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28).

Lightweight bout: Donald Cerrone vs. Chris Horodecki
Cerrone defeated Horodecki via submission (triangle choke) at 2:43 of round 2.

Bantamweight Championship bout: Dominick Cruz (c) vs. Scott Jorgensen
Cruz defeated Jorgensen via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) to retain the WEC Bantamweight Championship and become the first UFC Bantamweight Champion.

Lightweight Championship bout: Ben Henderson (c) vs. Anthony Pettis
Pettis defeated Henderson via unanimous decision (48-47, 49-46, 48-47) to become the final WEC Lightweight Champion.

***P.S. - Cruz's mexican father left him when he was 5 & his Mom is of European bloodlines. He doesn't even look mestizo to me...

That was a awesome Matrix type kick of the cage pulled off by Pettis, I couldn't believe what I just saw with that move.

Agreed it was sick! Great use of improvation and athleticism!

I agree, Cruz's father was definitely a White Mexican.

And Pettis's kick was fantastic. I believe he will be facing the winner of the Edgar/Maynard fight. I doubt he stands much of a chance.

The Pettis kick was unbelievable. That's what I love about live sporting events: last minute of the last round of a championship fight, and the guy pulls of a ridiculous kick out of nowhere. You can't script it any better. I was glad to see Ben Henderson defeated. And, I'll be glad when Edgar or Maynard beats Pettis.
